Stampin’ Up! Silhouette Scenes for the Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Welcome back to another Inkin’ Krew blog hop!  Our very talented team is doing a blog hop featuring Stampin’ Up! products.  This month we are all creating projects with a “celebrate summer” theme and I’m featuring the Silhouette Scenes stamp set bundle for my card.

I started by stamping the girl in the swing image in VersaMark ink on a panel of Coastal Cabana card stock.  I sprinkled the image with Black Shimmer Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.  Then I cut the tree image from Basic Black card stock with one of the Sweet Silhouettes Dies.  I adhered the die cut tree to the Coastal Cabana card stock panel with Multipurpose Liquid Glue and then trimmed the overhang on the die cut even with the Coastal Cabana panel.

I adhered a strip of Pineapple Punch DSP from the 2018-2020 In Color DSP pack to the bottom of the Coastal Cabana panel with SNAIL, then adhered the layered panel to a panel of Basic Black card stock with SNAIL.  I wrapped a strand of Linen Thread around the panel, tied a bow, then adhered the layered panel to the front of a Bermuda Bay card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I used Post It Note Tape to mask the “happy” on the sentiment from the Tasteful Textures stamp set and then inked and stamped the remainder of the sentiment in Coastal Cabana ink with the Stamparatus.  I masked off the top part of the sentiment and inked the bottom in Pineapple Punch in and then stamped it again using the Stamparatus.  I cut the sentiment out with a Stitched Shapes Die and adhered it to a 2″ Circle Punch from Pineapple Punch card stock with SNAIL.  I adhered the sentiment circle to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and added a Glitter Enamel Dot to finish the card front.

I stamped the sentiment from the Silhouette Scenes stamp set in Coastal Cabana ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock and then added a strip of Pineapple Punch DSP to finish the inside of the card.

  1. Wow, your design brings back memories of when my father had tied the rope spring to the big maple we had in our yard. I had forgotten about that. Thank you. I love silhouettes…used to have a couple hanging in my bedroom. Your card touched my heart today, thank you!

  2. Such a happy card. I’m wondering if you would share what stamp set the sentiment is from that you used. I don’t see it in the Silhouette Scenes stamp set. Thank you

    • Thanks Twila! Sorry that I forgot to add that stamp set in the supply list. It’s from the Tasteful Textures stamp set. 🙂
