Stampin’ Up! Free As A Bird Birthday Card

I used the Stampin’ Up! Free As A Bird stamp set  to create a quick birthday card to share with you today.  I did a video tutorial for making one of these cards on my Facebook page yesterday.  I’ve also uploaded it to my YouTube Channel so you can view it there too!

My card design was inspired by Inspire.Create.Challenge #47.

I started by embossing a panel of Petal Pink card stock with the Scripty Embossing Folder and then adhering the panel to the front of a Petal Pink card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I cut a panel of Bird Ballad DSP with the largest Stitched Rectangle Die twice to create the square and then adhered the die cut DSP panel to the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I wrapped a strand of Linen Thread around the card front three times and tied a little bow, then stamped the bird and leaf images from the Free As A Bird stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  I used the Light and Dark Crumb Cake, Petal Pink and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends Combo Pack Markers to color the images and then used the Color Lifter to lighten the area under the bird.

I stamped the sentiment from the Beautiful Bouquet photopolymer stamp set in Soft Suede ink on the Whisper White card stock panel and then cut it out with a Stitched Shapes Die.  I adhered the die cut image to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and then added three of the Frosted & Clear Epoxy Droplets to finish the card front.

I adhered a strip of  the Bird Ballad DSP to a panel of Whisper White card stock to finish the inside of the card.

You can see a list of supplies used to create this card, including card stock cuts, at the very bottom of this blog post.
