Stampin’ Up! Free Skate Christmas Card

I used the Stampin’ Up! Free Skate stamp set bundle and one of the Silver Foil-Edged Cards & Envelopes to create a Christmas card to share with you today.  I did a video tutorial for making this card on my Facebook page yesterday.  I’ve also uploaded it to my YouTube Channel so you can view it there too!

I started by embossing a panel of Whisper White card stock with the Pinewood Planks 3D Embossing Folder and the 3D Embossing Folder Plate.  I adhered the embossed panel to the front of a Silver Foil-Edged Card with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I cut panels of Whisper White and Real Red card stocks with dies from the Detailed Skate Dies.  I snipped the blade piece off both of the solid skate die cuts and then adhered the detailed skate die cuts over the solid skates with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I cut a panel of Silver Foil Sheets with one of the Detailed Skate Dies and then adhered the die cut blades to the white skates with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I used a rolled up Glue Dot to adhered the real red bow ends to the back of the skates, then used Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the skates to the card front.

I stamped the holly image from the Free Skate stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock and then colored it with Real Red and Shaded Spruce Stampin’ Blends Combo Pack Markers.  I cut the image out with the coordinating Detailed Skate Die and adhered it with a Glue Dot and Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card front.  I stamped the sentiment from the Free Skate stamp set in Real Red ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock, cut around it with a Stitched Shapes Die and adhered it with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card front.  I added a Toile Tidings Glitter Enamel Dot and two Shaded Spruce Rhinestones from the Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels pack to finish the card front.

I stamped the sentiment from the Free Skate stamp set in Real Red ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock and then added a strip of Wrapped In Plaid 6″ x 6″ Specialty DSP  to finish the inside of the card.

You can see a list of supplies needed to create this card, including the card stock cuts, at the very bottom of this blog post.
