Stampin’ Up! Christmas Gleaming for the Happy Inkin Thursday Blog Hop

I used the Stampin’ Up! Christmas Gleaming stamp set bundle and the Peaceful Boughs stamp set to create a Christmas card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  We’ve got a color challenge this week and here is what I created for it.

Here are the colors that we’re using this week:

My card design was inspired by the sketch from Sugar Pea Mix It Up Challenge #61.

I started by adhering a panel from the Pressed Petals Specialty DSP to a panel of Night of Navy card stock with SNAIL and then to a Night of Navy card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I inked the larger branch image from the Peaceful Boughs stamp set in Night of Navy ink, stamped on scrap paper and then stamped it on a panel of Very Vanilla card stock.  I repeated that process with the two smaller branch images from the Peaceful Boughs stamp set.

I cut the Very Vanilla card stock panel with one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies and then adhered it to a panel of Copper Foil Sheets and then to the card front with SNAIL.  I stamped the ornament images from the Christmas Gleaming stamp set in VersaMark Ink on a panel of Night of Navy card stock, sprinkled them with Copper Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed them.  I punched the images out with the coordinating Gleaming Ornaments Punch Pack punches and adhered the smaller one with SNAIL and the two larger ornaments with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Christmas Gleaming stamp set in Night of Navy ink on a panel of Very Vanilla card stock and then trimmed around it.  I adhered the sentiment with Stampin’ Dimensionals and then added three Star Designer Elements to finish the card front.

I stamped the sentiment from the Peaceful Boughs stamp set on a panel of Very Vanilla card stock in Night of Navy ink, then added the pine bough images (stamped off once) around the edges to finish the inside of the card.
