Stampin’ Up! Honey Bee Sweet Friend Card

I used the awesome Honey Bee stamp set bundle from the upcoming Stampin’ Up! January-June 2020 Mini Catalog and some of the fantastic coordinating Golden Honey Specialty DSP from the 2020 Sale-a-bration Brochure to create my card to share today.

My card design was inspired by My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge #468.

I started by adhering a panel of Golden Honey Specialty DSP (Sale-a-bration item, available Jan 3) to a panel of Basic Black card stock with SNAIL and then to a Daffodil Delight card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the bee image from the Honey Bee stamp set (available Jan 3) four times in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  I colored the bodies with Light and Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends Markers and then cut them out with the coordinating Detailed Bee Dies (available Jan 3).  I stamped the sentiment from the Honey Bee stamp set in VersaMark ink on a panel of Daffodil Delight card stock, sprinkled it with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and then heat embossed it.

I cut the sentiment out with one of the All Dressed Up Dies (available Jan 3) and then adhered the die cut bees and sentiment to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I applied Clear Wink of Stella over the bees wings (I know that you can’t see it in the photos, but they’re shimmery in real life!).  I colored a Rhinestone Basic Jewel with the Dark Basic Black Stampin’ Blends Marker and adhered it next to the sentiment to finish the card front.

I stamped the bee image from the Honey Bee stamp set two times in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock and colored the bodies with Light and Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends Combo Pack Markers to finish the inside of the card.
