I used the Stampin’ Up! Birthday Jubilee stamp set and some of the pretty Ornate Garden Specialty DSP from the Early Release products to create a thank you card for the Sunday Stamps sketch challenge this week.

Here is the sketch for Sunday Stamps SSC228.  Be sure to stop by the challenge blog to play along too!

I started by lightly tacking a piece of Ornate Garden Specialty DSP to a panel of Basic Black card stock with SNAIL.  I cut both panels at the same time with the Paper Trimmer and then slid the DSP pieces out a bit and adhered them to the panels of Basic Black card stock with SNAIL.  I adhered the layered panels to the front of a Thick Whisper White card base with SNAIL.

I stamped the sentiment from the Birthday Jubilee stamp set in VersaMark ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock, sprinkled it with Shimmer Black Stampin’ Emboss Powder and then heat embossed it.  I cut the sentiment out with one of the Stitched Shapes Dies and then adhered the die cut to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I adhered one of the Gilded Gems to one of the Frosted Flower Embellishments with a Rolled Up Glue Dot and then adhered the flower to the sentiment die cut.  I added two more Gilded Gems around the sentiment to finish the card front.

I stamped the sentiment from the Birthday Jubilee stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock and then added a strip of the Ornate Garden DSP with SNAIL at the bottom of the panel.  I adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Basic Black card stock and then to the card base with SNAIL.
