Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals Christmas Card With Video Tutorial

I used the beautiful Poinsettia Petals stamp set bundle from the upcoming Stampin’ Up! August-December 2020 Mini Catalog to create a Christmas card to share with you today.  I did a video tutorial for making this card on my Facebook page yesterday.  I’ve also uploaded it to my YouTube Channel so you can view it there too!

I started by adhering a panel of Poinsettia Place DSP (available Aug 4) to a panel of Real Red card stock with Stampin’ Seal.  Then I stamped the sentiment from the Poinsettia Petals photopolymer stamp set in Soft Suede ink on a panel of Crumb Cake card stock.  I cut around the image with one of the Stitched Rectangles Dies and then adhered it to the panel with Stampin’ Seal.  I adhered the layered card front to a Soft Suede card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I adhered a length of Real Red 3/8″ Sheer Ribbon (available Aug 4) to the front of the card in a “z” with Stampin’ Seal.  Then I cut a panel of Old Olive card stock with the leaf dies from the Poinsettia Dies two times and I adhered the die cut leaves with Glue Dots to the card front.  I cut a panel of gold Brushed Metallic 12″ x 12″ Card Stock (available Aug 4) with one of the branch dies from the Poinsettia Dies and then adhered it with a Glue Dot to the card front.

I cut one of the poinsettias from the Plush Poinsettia Specialty Paper with the coordinating die from Poinsettia Dies and then used that same die to cut a panel of Whisper White card stock.  I sponged a little bit of Bumblebee ink on the flower with a Sponge Dauber and then adhered the die cut flower to Whisper White die cut with Glue Dots.  I adhered the layered flower to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I adhered one of the Beaded Pearls to the flower center to finish the card front.

I stamped the sentiment and poinsettia image from the Poinsettia Petals stamp set in Soft Suede and Crumb Cake inks on a panel of Whisper White card stock and then colored the flower with Light and Dark So Saffron Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I colored over the flower image to lighten it a bit with the Color Lifter to finish the inside of the card.
