Stampin’ Up! Peace & Joy Christmas Card For The Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

I used the Stampin’ Up! Peace & Joy stamp set bundle from the upcoming August-December 2020 Mini Catalog to create my card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  We’ve got a sketch challenge this week and this is what I made for it.

Here is the sketch that we’re using this week:

The theme for my card was inspired by The Spot Challenge #120.

I started by adhering panels of Trimming The Town DSP (available Aug 4) to a panel of Early Espresso card stock with Stampin’ Seal.  Then I wrapped a strand of Early Espresso 1/4″ Faux Suede Trim around the layered panel to cover the seam between the papers and I adhered it on the back with Stampin’ Seal.  I adhered the layered panel to the Pool Party card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I cut panels of Pool Party and Whisper White card stocks with the dies from the Joy Dies (available Aug 4) and I adhered those die cuts together with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I adhered a strip of Adhesive Sheets to the back of a panel of Early Espresso card stock and then used the narrow “Peace” die to cut the panel.  I adhered the die cut sentiment to the larger die cuts with the Adhesive Sheets.  I adhered the layered sentiment to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Peace & Joy photopolymer stamp set (available Aug 4) in Early Espresso ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  I trimmed around the stamped image and then adhered it to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I adhered four of the In Good Taste Elements to the card front with Glue Dots and then added six of the Sequins For Everything (available Aug 4) with Glue Dots to finish the card front.

I stamped the sentiments from the Peace & Joy stamp set in Pool Party ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock and then added strips of Trimming The Town DSP to finish the inside of the card.
