Stampin’ Up! In The Pines Christmas Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

I used the Stampin’ Up! In The Pines stamp set bundle to create my card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  We’ve got a color challenge this week and this is what I made for it.

Here are the colors that we’re using this week…and I managed to get all 5 in!! 🙂

My card design was inspired by CAS(E) this Sketch #394.

I started by adhering a panel from the ‘Tis The Season 6″ x 6″ DSP (on sale in October for 15% off) pack to a panel of Real Red card stock with Stampin’ Seal.  Then I stamped the tree line image from the In The Pines photopolymer stamp set in Garden Green ink on a panel of Garden Green card stock.  I inked the “fill-in” image for the tree line stamps in Old Olive ink, stamped it on scrap paper and then stamped it over the original image.  I adhered the stamped panel to the Real Red card stock panel with Stampin’ Seal.

I inked the outline image for the tree line from the In The Pines stamp set in Garden Green and Soft Suede inks and then stamped it on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  I inked the fill-in image for the tree line stamps in Old Olive ink, stamped it on scrap paper and then stamped it over the original image.  Then I cut the stamped trees out with one of the coordinating Pine Woods Dies and I adhered it to the card front with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I wrapped a strand of Linen Thread around the card front four times and tied a small bow, then adhered the panel to the front of a Real Red card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I stamped the sentiment from the In The Pines stamp set in Real Red ink on a strip of Whisper White card stock, punched the end of the strip with the Banners Pick A Punch and then adhered it to the card front with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I added a Bumblebee star from the All the Trimmings Embellishments next to the sentiment to finish the card front.

I stamped the images from the In The Pines stamp set in Garden Green and Old Olive (stamped off once) inks and the sentiment from the Joyful Holly photopolymer stamp set in Real Red ink on a Whisper White card stock panel to finish the inside of the card.
