I used the Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals stamp set and some of the pretty Poinsettia Place DSP to create a quick Christmas card to share with you today. As an added bonus, this card is flat so it can be sent with no additional postage fees!
My card design was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches #458.
I started by adhering a panel from the Poinsettia Place DSP (on sale during October for 15% off) to the front of a Soft Suede card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Then I stamped the sentiment from the Poinsettia Petals photopolymer stamp set in VersaMark Ink on a panel of Garden Green card stock, sprinkled it with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder and then heat embossed it.
I adhered the embossed panel to a panel of gold foil from the Brushed Metallics 12″ x 12″ Cardstock and then to the card front with Stampin’ Seal.
I cut a panel of Poinsettia Place DSP with the smallest of the “wide” rectangles from the Stitched Rectangle Dies five times. Since I wanted the images to mostly line up on my card front, I started by lining up the rectangle die with the lower right corner of the DSP panel and cutting it. Then I carefully lined up the die right next to the first die cut and cut it again. I repeated that process until all five pieces were cut.
I adhered the die cut rectangles to the card front with Stampin’ Seal and then added three Gold Glitter Enamel Dots to finish the card front.
I stamped the sentiment and poinsettia images from the Poinsettia Petals stamp set in Garden Green and Sahara Sand inks on a panel of Whisper White card stock to finish the inside of the card.
