Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Garden Birthday Card

Since the Stampin’ Up! OnStage@Home event is going on right now, I figured that it would be a good time to share another project that I made with the new Dragonfly Garden stamp set bundle from the upcoming January-June 2021 Stampin’ Up! Catalog!!  And we got to see the new catalog…it’s pretty awesome!!  Can’t wait for you all to see it too!!

My card design was inspired by the sketch from the Fusion Challenge this week.

I started by stamping the flower image from the Dragonfly Garden stamp set (available Jan 5) in Mossy Meadow ink two times on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  I embossed the panel with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder and then adhered it to a panel of Mossy Meadow card stock with Stampin’ Seal.  I adhered the layered panel to the front of a Mossy Meadow card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I adhered a panel of Dandy Garden 6″ x 6″ DSP (available Jan 5) to a panel of Mossy Meadow card stock and then to the card front with Stampin’ Seal.  Then I adhered a length of Bumblebee 2020-2022 In Color 1/4″ Ribbon to the card front with Stampin’ Seal.  I stamped the sentiment from the Dragonfly Garden stamp set in Misty Moonlight ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock and then cut it out with one of the Hippo & Friends Dies.  I adhered the die cut sentiment to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the dragonfly image from the Dragonfly Garden stamp set in Misty Moonlight ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  I inked the wing image from the Dragonfly Garden stamp set in Bumblebee ink, stamped it on scrap paper and then stamped it over the wings on the larger dragonfly.  I punched the dragonfly out with the Dragonflies Punch (available Jan 5) and then adhered it with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card front.  I added Wink Of Stella Clear Glitter over the wings and then colored a Rhinestone Basic Jewel with the Dark Misty Moonlight Stampin’ Blends Marker before adding it to the sentiment panel.

I stamped the flower image from the Dragonfly Garden stamp set in Mossy Meadow ink and then added the sentiment from the By The Dock stamp set and dragonfly image from the Dragonfly Garden stamp set in Misty Moonlight ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  I inked and stamped off the wing image in Bumblebee ink and then stamped it over the dragonfly to finish the inside of the card.

I did have a little stamping “oopsie” on the dragonfly image…I ended up stamping the dragonfly a second time, slightly off-set…but I think that it makes it look it’s flying.  So I guess that it was a happy accident.  😉
