I used the Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Garden stamp set to create my card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop. We’ve got a sketch challenge this week and this is what I made for it.
Here is the sketch that we’re using this week:
I started by adhering a panel of Fine Art Floral DSP (availalbe Jan 5) to the front of a Pool Party card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Then I adhered another panel of Fine Art Floral DSP to a panel of Pretty Peacock card stock and then to the card front with Stampin’ Seal.
I wrapped a strand of Linen Thread around the card front twice and tied a small bow. I stamped the sentiment from the Dragonfly Garden stamp set (available Jan 5) in VersaMark Ink on a panel of Pretty Peacock card stock and then heat embossed it with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. I cut the sentiment out with one of the Stitched So Sweetly Dies and I adhered it to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I cut a butterfly from Flirty Flamingo card stock with one of the Fluttering Dies (available Jan 5) and then sponged the edges lightly with Flirty Flamingo ink and a Sponge Dauber. I adhered the die cut with Stampin’ Dimensionals and then added three Rhinestone Basic Jewels to finish the card front.
I inked the larger flower image from the Art Gallery stamp set (available Jan 5) in Flirty Flamingo ink, stamped it on scrap paper and then stamped it on a panel of Whisper White card stock. I inked the smaller flower image from the Art Gallery stamp set in Flirty Flamingo ink, stamped it on scrap paper and then stamped it over the first image to finish the inside of the card.

Several Stampin up demonstrators are showing “unboxing” videos of new products that will be available In January on YouTube but yours is the best (because you group together what belongs together and hold it still long enough to see it and your commentary is informative and uninterrupted). Great Job!
Thanks Debra! Glad that you enjoyed the video. 🙂
Absolutely stunning. Love the DPS.
Thanks Karen! 🙂
oooh, you are using some beautiful new paper to go along with your gorgeous card. Love the colors Amy
Thanks Kristi! 🙂
So glad you used this DSP – I love it and ordered it, but need some inspiration as I almost hate to cover it up.
Glad that you liked the card! 🙂
So lovely, Amy! Haven’t ordered that DSP yet. Was on the fence, but the more I see it, the better I like it. Great way to use the DSP for a really pretty card.
Thanks Julie, it’s really beautiful paper in person! 🙂
Oh, so pretty! Love the new DSP – great way to showcase it. And the sweet butterfly is the perfect finishing touch.
Thanks Sue! 🙂
