Stampin’ Up! A Touch Of Ink Hello Friend Card With Video Tutorial

I used the Stampin’ Up! A Touch Of Ink stamp set from the Sale-a-bration 2021 Brochure to create a “hello friend” card to share with you today.  I also did a video tutorial for this project and you can see it on my YouTube channel here.

I started by adhering a panel from the Hydrangea Hill DSP (available Jan 5) to a panel of Whisper White card stock with Stampin’ Seal.  Then I trimmed a smaller panel of Hydrangea Hill DSP at an angle and then adhered it with Stampin’ Seal to the larger panel with Stampin’ Seal.  I wrapped a strand of white twine from the Snail Mail Twine Combo Pack (available Jan 5) around the card front twice and then tied a bow.  Then I adhered the layered panel to the front of the Highland Heather card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the butterfly images from the A Touch Of Ink photopolymer stamp set (Sale-a-bration item, available Jan 5) in Gorgeous Grape and Highland Heather inks on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  Then I stamped the leaf images in Mossy Meadow and Old Olive inks on the panel.  I inked and stamped off the splatter image from the A Touch Of Ink stamp set in Highland Heather ink and then stamped the image repeatedly around the butterfly.  I cut around the stamped image with one of the Stitched Shapes Dies and then adhered it with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card front.

I stamped the sentiment from the A Touch Of Ink stamp set in Gorgeous Grape ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock and then cut it out with one of the Tasteful Labels Dies.  I adhered the die cut sentiment with Stampin’ Dimensionals and Stampin’ Seal to the card front.  I added three of the Pastel Pearl (available Jan 5) around the bow to finish the card front.

I stamped the butterfly images from the A Touch Of Ink stamp set in Gorgeous Grape and Highland Heather inks on a panel of Whisper White card stock to finish the inside of the card.

You can see a list of supplies used to create this project, including the card stock cuts, at the very bottom of this blog post.

  1. I had a problem at my end with the live video yesterday but I have no problem reaching my goal to get this stamp set. You made such a pretty card, but then purple IS my favorite color!

    • Thanks Karen! Sorry about the video issues…I got a phone call in the middle of the first live and it shut off the video completely!! I had to restart. Yikes!! Need to remember to turn my phone off for future lives! 🙂
