Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Garden For A Friend Card With Video Tutorial

I used the Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Garden and Garden Wishes stamp set bundles to create a friend card to share with you today.  I also did a video tutorial for this project and you can see it on my YouTube channel here.

My card design was inspired by CAS Colours & Sketches #402.

I started by adhering a panel of Misty Moonlight DSP from the 2020-2022 In Color 6″ x 6″ DSP to a panel of Basic White card stock with Stampin’ Seal.  Then I stamped the sentiment from the Dragonfly Garden stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a panel of So Saffron DSP from the Subtles 6″ x 6″ DSP pack.  I adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Basic White card stock and then to the larger panel with Stampin’ Seal.

I wrapped a strand of Linen Thread around the DSP panel twice and tied a bow, then adhered the layered panel to the front of a Misty Moonlight card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I stamped the dandelion image from the Garden Wishes stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a panel of Basic White card stock and then colored it with Light and Dark So Saffron and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I cut the image out with the coordinating Dandy Wishes Dies and adhered it to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the dragonfly image from the Dragonfly Garden stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a panel of Basic White card stock.  I inked the wing image from the Dragonfly Garden stamp set in Misty Moonlight ink, stamped it on scrap paper and then stamped it over the dragonfly image.  I repeated that process for the second wing and then punched the image out with the coordinating Dragonflies Punch.  I applied Wink Of Stella over the wings on the dragonfly and then adhered the dragonfly punch to the card front with Glue Dots.  I added a Misty Moonlight dot from the 2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dots to finish the card front.

I stamped the dragonfly image from the Dragonfly Garden stamp set two times in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a panel of Basic White card stock.  I inked the wing image from the Dragonfly Garden stamp set in Misty Moonlight ink, stamped it on scrap paper and then stamped it over the dragonfly images to finish the inside of the card.
