Stampin’ Up! Darling Donkeys Birthday Card

I used the fun Darling Donkeys stamp set from the Stampin’ Up! Sale-a-bration Brochure to create a birthday card to share with you today.

My card design is loosely inspired by Freshly Made Sketches #469.  Apparently I totally missed the memo on the sentiment going between the lines. Oopsie!

I started by cutting a panel of Balmy Blue DSP from the Subtles 6″ x 6″ DSP pack with one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies.  I adhered the die cut DSP panel to a panel of Pacific Point card stock with Stampin’ Seal.  I cut strips of the Berry Delightful DSP (Sale-a-bration item) and adhered them to the DSP panel with Stampin’ Seal.  I wrapped a strand of Linen Thread around the panel twice and tied a bow, then adhered the layered panel to the front of a Pacific Point card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the donkey image from the Darling Donkeys stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a panel of Basic White card stock.  I colored the image with Light and Dark Crumb Cake and Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I cut around the image with one of the Hippo & Friends Dies and then adhered the die cut to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Darling Donkeys stamp set in Pacific Point ink on a panel of Basic White card stock and then cut around it with one of the Tasteful Labels Dies.  I adhered the die cut with Stampin’ Seal to the card front and then added three Rhinestone Basic Jewels to finish the card front.

I stamped the donkey image from the Darling Donkeys stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento ink and the sentiment in Pacific Point ink on a panel of Basic White card stock.  I colored the donkey with Light and Dark Crumb Cake and Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends Markers and then added a strip of Berry Delightful DSP to finish the inside of the card.
