Stampin’ Up! In Bloom You’re Amazing Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

I used the upcoming Stampin’ Up! In Bloom stamp set bundle to create my project for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  We’ve got a Sale-a-bration theme challenge this week and this is what I made for it.  It’s a bit of a departure from my normal CAS style.  🙂

Here is our theme challenge this week:

My card design was inspired by The Paper Players PP525.

My card also works for the Tic Tac Toe Challenge TTTC097.  I went straight across the top.

I started by adhering a panel of the Paper Blooms DSP (Sale-a-bration item) to the front of a Pear Pizzazz card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Then I cut a panel of the Paper Blooms DSP with one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies and I adhered it with Stampin’ Seal to the card front.  I cut a circle from White Vellum card stock with one of the Layering Circles Dies and I adhered it to the card front with Stampin’ Seal (in the center so that it would be hidden).

I stamped the sentiment from the In Bloom photopolymer stamp set in Night of Navy ink on a panel of Basic White card stock.  I cut the sentiment out with one of the Pierced Blooms Dies and then adhered it with Stampin’ Seal to the card front.  I wrapped a strand of Linen Thread around the card front twice and then tied a small bow.

I cut flowers and leaves from the Paper Blooms DSP (the panel with the large circles worked great for the die cuts!) with the Pierced Blooms Dies and adhered them together with Glue Dots.  I adhered the focal flower with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the other die cut piece with Glue Dots to the card front.  I added three Rhinestone Basic Jewels around the flower die cuts to finish the card front.

I adhered a strip of Paper Blooms DSP to a Basic White card stock panel to finish the inside of the card.

You can see a list of supplies used to create this project, including the card stock cuts, at the very bottom of this blog post.

  1. I beginning to think that I might just need to add one more floral bundle to my collection! I love how you layered the flowers and using the DSP is such a smart way to show off this paper! Thanks for sharing at The Paper Players!

  2. You rocked the layering! Fun and beautiful! I totally love it. (The stitching on those flowers is gonna get me, I can tell…no matter how much I tell myself I don’t need another flower set!)

  3. What a pretty card, Amy! The flowers are just bursting with Spring goodness and the patterns are so cute! I’m so glad you joined us at the Tic Tac Toe challenge this week!
