Stampin’ Up! Friendly Flamingo Be Yourself Card

I used the Stampin’ Up! Friendly Flamingo stamp set bundle and the Blending Brushes to create a fun card to share with you today!

Stampin' Up! Friendly Flamingo Be Yourself Card

My card design was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches #475.

I started by using Blending Brushes to add Coastal Cabana and Daffodil Delight inks to a panel of Basic White card stock.  I adhered the panel to a slightly larger panel of Basic White card stock with Stampin’ Seal and then to a Thick Basic White card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I cut the flamingo pieces from Petal Pink and Flirty Flamingo card stocks with dies from the Flamingo Dies.  I adhered the die cuts together and then to the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I stamped the sentiment from the Friendly Flamingo photopolymer stamp set in Coastal Cabana ink on a panel of Basic White card stock and then cut it out with one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies.  I adhered the sentiment with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card front.

I stamped the small flower images from the Friendly Flamingo stamp set in Flirty Flamingo and Coastal Cabana inks on a panel of Basic White card stock.  I cut the flowers out with the coordinating Flamingo Dies and then adhered them with Glue Dots to the card front to finish it.

I stamped the sentiment and flamingo image from the Friendly Flamingo stamp set in Flirty Flamingo and Coastal Cabana inks on a panel of Basic White card stock to finish the inside of the card.

Italian Cooking Class on Zoom!!

My direct team did a fun get together on Zoom last night.  Instead of stamping, we did a private cooking class with Luca and Mara from Rome, Italy!!  We got the ingredient list ahead of time and they cooked “with” us sharing lots of fun tips and information along the way!

We made from scratch Gnocchi alla Sorrentina (mine did not turn out as beautifully as theirs did…but it still tasted yummy!!).

And a Nutella Roll…again, theirs turned out much more beautiful than mine did (I had the wrong size for the baking pan).  But it was SO good!  And so much fun!!

My kitchen was a total disaster by the time that we finished.  I should have taken some photos before I cleaned up the mess!  But I think that I used almost every pan and baking dish that I had in the cupboard!!  Looking forward to doing that again soon!

If you’re interested, the couple that did the cooking class with us has a Facebook page that you can see here:  https://www.facebook.com/groups/266273041685957  They offer cooking classes from their kitchen in Italy that anyone can join!  They’re great cooks and so fun to chat with!!
