Stampin’ Up! Driving By To Say Hi Card

I used the Stampin’ Up! Driving By stamp set and the Sunshine & Rainbows DSP from the Sale-a-bration Brochure to create a fun “hello” card to share with you today.

Stampin' Up! Driving By To Say Hi Card

My card design was inspired by the Fusion Sketch Challenge this week.

And the theme for my card was inspired by Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge #382.

I started by adhering a panel of Sunshine & Rainbows DSP to a panel of Pool Party card stock with Stampin’ Seal.  Then I used the Stamparatus to stamp the van image from the Driving By stamp set (Sale-a-bration item) in Pool Party ink across a strip of Pool Party card stock.  I used the “hinge step” technique to stamp the vans, I slid the plate two notches to the left as I stamped across the panel.  Then I adhered the stamped panel to the card front with Stampin’ Seal.

Stampin' Up! Driving By To Say Hi Card

I stamped the van image from the Driving By stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a panel of Basic White card stock and then colored it with Light and Dark So Saffron, Flirty Flamingo, Pool arty and Gray Granite Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I colored over the bumpers and hubcaps with the Color Lifter to lighten the coloring a bit more.  Then I cut the image out with one of the Hippo & Friends Dies and adhered it with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Stampin' Up! Driving By To Say Hi Card

I stamped the sentiment from the Driving By stamp set in VersaMark ink on a panel of Flirty Flamingo card stock, sprinkled it with white embossing powder from the Basics Embossing Powders and then heat embossed it.  I cut the sentiment out with another one of the Hippo & Friends Dies and then adhered the sentiment with Mini Glue Dots.  I colored three Rhinestone Basic Jewels with the Dark Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends Marker and then adhered the rhinestones to the card front to finish it.

I adhered a strip of Sunshine & Rainbows DSP to a panel of Basic White card stock to finish the inside of the card.

  1. Love this so much, Amy! The little bus is definitely my fave in this set, lol, and I love it even more with that fun DSP! What a great idea to add that row of buses behind the feature image, too – no traffic for this cutie! Thanks so much for playing at Hand Stamped Sentiments!

  2. How fun that you put the van on this die! I never think of using the different shapes, I will have to remember that for the future. The colors are perfect for a bright and happy card! Thanks for sharing and joining the HSS this week!
