I used the Stampin’ Up! Trimming The Tree stamp set and the coordinating Tree Trimming Dies (available September 1!) to create a Christmas card to share with you today.

My card design was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches 549.

I started by cutting a panel of Lights Aglow 6″ x 6″ DSP with one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies.  I adhered the die cut panel to a panel of Gold Foil Sheets with Stampin’ Seal and then to the front of a Cherry Cobbler card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I cut panels of Evening Evergreen, Cherry Cobbler and Gold Foil Sheets with dies from the Tree Trimming Dies (available beginning September 1).  I adhered the die cut tree with Stampin’ Dimensionals, the tree stand with Stampin’ Seal and the bow with Multipurpose Liquid Glue to the card front.

I stamped the sentiment from the Trimming The Tree photopolymer stamp set in VersaMark ink on the Cherry Cobbler die cut, sprinkled it with gold embossing powder from the Metallics Embossing Powders and then heat embossed it.  I adhered the die cut sentiment with Stampin’ Seal to finish the card front.

I stamped the sentiment from the Trimming The Tree stamp set in Cherry Cobbler ink on a panel of Basic White card stock and then added a strip of Lights Aglow DSP to finish the inside of the card.

World Card Making Day Events – Save The Date, October 1!

INKIN’ KREW WORLD CARD MAKING DAY EVENT – 9 AM ET UNTIL 9 PM ET, SATURDAY, OCTOBER 1!

We’re doing it again!!  Our team will be hosting a fun all-day event on Saturday, October 1 for World Card Making Day!  Our event will feature card making presentations live on the event Facebook page as well as some fun giveaways!

Stampin’ Up! is also hosting an event online (see the details here) and we’re scheduling our event so that it runs before and after the Stampin’ Up! event!  Most of us will be using one of the three bundles from the Stampin’ Up! event for our projects so you will come away from the day with tons of ideas for those three bundles!
