I used the Stampin’ Up! Penguin Place stamp set and coordinating Penguin Builder Punch to create a fun slimline Christmas card to share with you today. I did a video tutorial for this card on Facebook Live yesterday and you can see it here. You can also see the video on YouTube here.
My card design was inspired by the sketch for the Inspired By Challenge #IB205.
I started by adhering a panel of Storybook Gnomes DSP to a panel of Pool Party card stock and then to a Pool Party card base with Stampin’ Seal. I cut a panel of Basic White card stock three times with one of the Stylish Shapes Dies and then I stamped the snowflake image from the Penguin Place stamp set in Pool Party ink over the three die cut circles and then adhered the circles to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I stamped the penguin images from the Penguin Place stamp set in Basic Gray and Pale Papaya inks on a panel of Basic White card stock and then punched them out with the coordinating Penguin Builder Punch. I stamped the hat and scarf images from the Penguin Place stamp set in Pool Party, Real Red and Granny Apple Green inks on a panel of Basic White card stock and then used Paper Snips to cut them out. I adhered the snipped images to the penguins with Multipurpose Liquid Glue and then adhered the penguins to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I stamped the sentiment from the Penguin Place stamp set in VersaMark ink on a panel of Real Red card stock, sprinkled it with white embossing powder from the Basics Embossing Powders and then heat embossed it. I cut the sentiment out with one of the Stylish Shapes Dies and then adhered it with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card front. I added three of the Adhesive Backed Sequins & Gems to finish the card front.
I stamped the sentiment from the Penguin Place stamp set in Real Red ink on a panel of Basic White card stock and then added a panel of Storybook Gnomes DSP to finish the inside of the card. Don’t forget that Stampin’ Up! has Slimline Envelopes to make it easy to mail out your slimline cards!
