Stampin’ Up! Painted Pheasant Thanksgiving Card for the Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Welcome back to another Inkin’ Krew blog hop!  Our very talented team is doing a blog hop featuring Stampin’ Up! products.  This month we are all creating projects with a “Giving Thanks” theme and I’m featuring the Painted Pheasant stamp set for my project.

Stampin' Up! Painted Pheasant Thanksgiving Card

I started by adhering a panel of Rustic Harvest DSP to the front of a Mossy Meadow card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Then I cut another panel of Rustic Harvest DSP with one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies and I adhered it to the card front with Stampin’ Seal.

I inked the pheasant image from the Painted Pheasant stamp set with Sponge Daubers and Cajun Craze, Soft Suede, Mossy Meadow and Crushed Curry inks and then stamped the image on a panel of Basic White card stock.  I used a Sponge Dauber to add just a touch of Cherry Cobbler ink around the eye area.  Then I inked the grass image from the Painted Pheasant stamp set in Mossy Meadow ink, stamped it on scrap paper and then stamped it around the edges of the bird image.

I cut around the image with one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies and then used a Blending Brush to add Balmy Blue ink around the top of the panel.  I used a Blender Pen and Soft Suede ink to add “ground” under the bird.  I adhered the die cut panel to a panel of Mossy Meadow card stock with Stampin’ Seal and then to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Painted Pheasant stamp set in VersaMark ink on a panel of Balmy Blue card stock, sprinkled it with copper embossing powder from the Metallics Embossing Powders and then heat embossed it.  I cut the sentiment out with one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies and adhered it with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card front.  I added two copper dots from the Brushed Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots to finish the card front.
