Stampin’ Up! Playing In The Rain Happy Day Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

I used the Playing In The Rain stamp set bundle to create my project for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  We’ve got a color challenge this week and this is what I made for it.

Stampin' Up! Playing In The Rain Happy Day Card

Here are the colors that we’re using this week:

I started by adhering a panel of Country Gingham 6″ x 6″ DSP to the front of a Balmy Blue card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Then I cut panels of Rain Or Shine Specialty DSP with one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies.  I adhered the die cut DSP panels to the card front with Stampin’ Seal.

I cut panels of Rain Or Shine DSP with the Playing In The Rain and Stylish Shapes Dies.  I adhered the die cut turtle to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Then I adhered the die cut banners with Stampin’ Seal to the card front.

I did cut the wider banner die cut in half and I overlapped it by about 1/2″ in the center to shorten the die cut so that it fit better under the sentiment.

I stamped the sentiment from the Playing In The Rain stamp set in Flirty Flamingo ink on a panel of Basic White card stock and then cut it out with one of the All That Dies.  I adhered the die cut sentiment with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card front and then added three Brushed Brass Butterflies to finish it.

I adhered a strip of Country Gingham DSP to a panel of Basic White card stock to finish the inside of the card.

  1. Too cute! I love the layout of your card today and the tip for the sentiment dies is great… feeling a CASE! TFS

  2. Adorable Amy!! You are once again, almost single-handedly, making me want this stamp set that I thought I didn’t need. Lol. Thx, I think. 😉

  3. Super cute. I really love how you placed the DSP at an offset. The turtle is so well coloured and stinkin’ cute!! I am subscribing to your blog. You showcase SU stamps in ways I couldn’t think of. Beautiful work here too.
