Stampin’ Up! Paradise Palms CAS Birthday Card

I used the Stampin’ Up! Paradise Palms stamp set and coordinating Palms Dies to create a quick birthday card to share with  you today.  I made this project out on Instagram this morning and you can see it here.

Stampin' Up! Paradise Palms CAS Birthday Card

My card design is loosely inspired by The Paper Players PP633.

I started by stamping the “land” image from the Paradise Palms stamp set (retiring May 1) in Pool Party ink three times across the front of a Thick Basic White card base.  Then I stamped the tree trunk and palm images from the Paradise Palms stamp set in Crumb Cake and Granny Apple Green inks on a panel of Basic White card stock.  I cut the images out with the coordinating Palms Dies (retiring May 1).  I adhered the treetops to the tree trunks with Mini Glue Dots and then to the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I cut the grass image with the die from the Palms Dies from Granny Apple Green and Pear Pizzazz (retiring May 1) card stocks and I adhered them to the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Then I trimmed the die cuts even with the edge of the card.  I stamped the sentiment from the Paradise Palms stamp set in VersaMark ink on a panel of Daffodil Delight card stock, sprinkled it with white embossing powder from the Basics Embossing Powders and then heat embossed it.

I cut around the sentiment with one of the Radiating Stitches Dies (Online Exclusive item) and then adhered the die cut circle to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I adhered one of the Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the sentiment to finish the card front.

I stamped the sentiment from the Paradise Palms stamp set in Early Espresso ink on a panel of Basic White card stock and then colored the three-palm image with Crumb Cake and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Write Markers (retiring May 1) and stamped it on the Basic White panel to finish the inside of the card.
