Welcome back to another Inkin’ Krew blog hop! Our very talented team is doing a blog hop featuring Stampin’ Up! products. This month we are all creating projects with a “celebrate summer” theme and I’m featuring the Darling Details stamp set bundle for my card. Nothing says summer more than pretty flowers in bright summer colors!
My card was very loosely inspired by My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge #649.
I started by embossing a panel of Basic White card stock with the Timber 3D Embossing Folder. I adhered the embossed panel to the front of a Thick Basic White card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Then I cut a frame from Fresh As A Daisy DSP (on sale during June for 15% off) with one of the Darling Details Dies. I adhered the die cut frame to the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
Then I stamped the flower images from the Darling Details stamp set in Azure Afternoon, Lemon Lolly, Bubble Bath and Garden Green inks on Basic White card stock. Quick Tip: To get even coverage on the large, solid images, I used a Sponge Dauber to add the ink. Then I cut all of the stamped images out with the coordinating Darling Details Dies and I adhered them with Mini Glue Dots and Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card front.
I stamped the sentiment from the Darling Details stamp set in Azure Afternoon ink on a panel of Basic White card stock and then cut it out with one of the Something Fancy Dies. I adhered the die cut sentiment with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card front and then added five Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels to finish the card front.
I stamped the flower images from the Darling Details stamp set in Azure Afternoon, Lemon Lolly, Bubble Bath and Garden Green inks on a panel of Basic White card stock to finish the inside of the card.
