I used the Stampin’ Up! Hooray For Surprises stamp set bundle to create a fun birthday card to share with you today.  I also did a video tutorial for this card and you can see it on YouTube here.

I started by scoring a Pool Party card base at 4-1/4″ and again at 5-1/2″.  Then I applied adhesive to the area on the inside of the card base between the 4-1/4″ and 5-1/2″ score lines and then folded and adhered the book fold section of the card base.  I adhered panels of Lighter Than Air 6″ x 6″ DSP to the card front with Stampin’ Seal.

I stamped the “inside” sentiment from the Hooray For Surprises photopolymer stamp set in Azure Afternoon ink on a panel of Basic White card stock.  Then I cut another panel of Basic White card stock with the large circle die from the Hooray For Surprises Dies.  I stamped the sentiments from the Hooray For Surprises photopolymer stamp set in Azure Afternoon and Pool Party inks.

I adhered the two stamped panels one on top of the other with Multipurpose Liquid Glue around the edges of the panels.  Then I adhered the layered panels to a panel of Flirty Flamingo card stock and then to the card front with Stampin’ Seal.

I inked the cake image from the Hooray For Surprises stamp set in Flirty Flamingo and Lemon Lolly inks on a panel of Basic White card stock and then cut the image out with the coordinating die from the Hooray For Surprises Dies.  I adhered the die cut to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Then I stamped the small flower image from the Hooray For Surprises stamp set in Lemon Lolly ink on a panel of Lemon Lolly card stock, cut it out with the coordinating Hooray For Surprises Dies and adhered it with a Mini Glue Dot to the card front.  I added an Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewel to the flower to finish the card front.

I adhered a strip of Lighter Than Air DSP to a panel of Basic White card stock to finish the inside of the card.
