Stampin’ Up! Weather Together for the Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Inkin' Krew Blog Hop

Today, our very talented team is doing a blog hop featuring some Stampin’ Up! stamp sets and products from the new catalog.  I have chosen to feature the Weather Together stamp set and Umbrella Weather Framelits.  I just love these images and I really love that the stamps and dies are available in a bundle for 10 % off!  🙂

Weather Together - Stamp With Amy K

The design for my card was inspired by My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge 284.

Screen Shot 2016-06-11 at 2.45.53 PM

I started by adhering a panel from the Serene Scenery DSP Stack to the front of a Thick Whisper White card base with SNAIL.

Weather Together 1 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the flower image from the Weather Together photopolymer stamp set in Peekaboo Peach ink on a panel of Daffodil Delight card stock.  I cut the panel with one of the Layering Squares Framelits Dies and I adhered it to the card front with SNAIL.

Weather Together 3 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the umbrella handle from the Weather Together stamp set in Smoky Slate ink on a panel of Smoky Slate card stock and the umbrella image in Peekaboo Peach ink on a panel of Daffodil Delight card stock, then cut them out with the Umbrella Weather Framelits Dies.  I placed the images on a circle die cut from Whisper White card stock with a Layering Circles Framelits die, then stamped the raindrop image in Pool Party ink around the umbrella die cuts.

Weather Together 2 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the sentiment from the Weather Together stamp set in Pool Party ink on the lower part of the circle die cut, then adhered the handle with Multipurpose Liquid Glue and the umbrella with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I adhered the circle die cut to a scalloped circle that I cut from Peekaboo Peach card stock with a Layering Circles Framelits die, then to the card front with SNAIL.  I added a single Rhinestone Basic Jewel to finish the card front.

Weather Together 4 - Stamp With Amy K

I inked the Weather Together images in Peekaboo Peach and Smoky Slate inks, stamped them on scrap paper once, then stamped them on a panel of Whisper White card stock inside the card.  I did cut an umbrella top from scrap paper that I placed over the stamped image to use as a mask before stamping the Smoky Slate image over it.

You can find a complete list of supplies, including card stock cuts, at the very bottom of this post.

  1. I absolutely love this card you made today. You give me, and I am sure others, so much inspiration. I can’t wait to get this stamp set!

I should have my order soon.

Thanks again for helping me. It’s good to know I have someone to count on.

I just got my daughter in law interested in stamping and gave her your blog so she can order also.

  2. Every time I pass on a stamp set, you make a card demonstrating how great those stamps are. Now I need to ponder again. Great card – prefect for the sketch!

  3. Very cool card! Love the rain drops and what an awesome umbrella! I’m really excited about how you are layering with the new circle, square, and oval dies – it’s one thing to see them in the catalog and quite another to see them in use 🙂 Thanks (My list is growing, lol!)

  4. Hi Amy,
Loved your card. Would like to share it with my readers this week. It will be featured this Thursday on my blog. All credits and link will be shared too. So happy to find your blog today with so many different ideas.
    Creative Blessings,
    Jessica Urrutia
