Stampin’ Up! Fruit Basket for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

We’re excited to announce that we have two new members joining the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop group!  Please welcome Sue Prather and Karen Finkle!!  They will be hopping with us for the hops every Thursday.  Jaimie is out this week but she’ll be back with us next week too.  Yay!!

I used the Stampin’ Up! Fruit Basket stamp set bundle to create my card for the sketch challenge this week.

Here is the sketch that we’re using this week:

I started by using a Sponge Brayer to add just a little touch of Soft Suede ink to the inside of the Basket Weave Embossing Folder (Sale-a-bration item available Feb 16).  Then I embossed a panel of Crumb Cake card stock with the folder.  I adhered the embossed panel to a panel of Soft Suede card stock with SNAIL.

I punched the ends of two panels of paper from the Tutti-Fruitti 6″ x 6″ DSP with the Banner Triple Punch and then adhered them to the card front with SNAIL.  I wrapped a strand of Linen Thread around panel and tied a bow, then adhered the layered panel to a Real Red card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I cut a circle from Whisper White card stock with one of the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies and adhered it to the card front with SNAIL.  I stamped the pear images from the Fruit Basket photopolymer stamp set in Daffodil Delight, Lemon Lime Twist and Soft Suede inks on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  I punched them out with the coordinating Itty Bitty Fruit Punch Pack punch.  Then I stamped the bowl images from the Fruit Basket stamp set in Soft Suede ink (the solid image was stamped on scrap paper once) on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  I cut the bowl out with Paper Snips and adhered the pears to it with Glue Dots.  I adhered the bowl to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Fruit Basket stamp set in Real Red ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock and I cut it out with one of the banner dies from the Bunch of Banners Framelits Dies.  I used the Sponge Brayer to add a little bit of Soft Suede ink over the sentiment banner, then adhered it with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card front.  I added a single Real Red enamel dot from the Brights Enamel Shapes pack to finish the card front.

I stamped the pear images from the Fruit Basket stamp set in Daffodil Delight, Lemon Lime Twist and Soft Suede inks on a Whisper White card stock panel inside the card.

  1. Thanks again, for the opportunity to be part of the hop. I think you have inspired me to get my Fruit Basket stamps out today AND add the Basket Weave TIEF on my order tomorrow. I do NEED a lot of stuff so it will be easy to get it with the SAB promotion! Delicious looking card!
