Stampin’ Up! Balloon Festoon Birthday Card for Sunday Stamps

I used the Stampin’ Up! Balloon Festoon stamp set bundle from the upcoming May-August 2026 Catalog to create a birthday card for the Sunday Stamps color challenge this week.

Here are the colors for Sunday Stamps SSC384.  Be sure to stop by the challenge blog to play along too!

I started by stamping the balloon image from the Balloon Festoon stamp set (available May 5) in Granny Apple Green, Pool Party, Lemon Lolly, Flirty Flamingo and Petal Pink inks on Basic White card stock.  I cut the balloons out with the coordinating Balloon Festoon Dies (available May 5).  Then I cut panels of Granny Apple Green, Pool Party, Lemon Lolly, Flirty Flamingo and Petal Pink card stocks with the same balloon die.  I stamped the dots, confetti, polka dots and stars images in Granny Apple Green, Pool Party, Lemon Lolly, Flirty Flamingo and Petal Pink inks on the die cut balloons and then drew the “shine” lines with the White Gel Pens (available May 5) on each of the solid card stock die cuts.

I placed the balloon die cuts on a panel of Basic White card stock and then stamped the balloon string image from the Balloon Festoon stamp set in Smoky Slate ink across the panel under each balloon.  I adhered the die cut balloons to the card front with Stampin’ Seal and then trimmed them even with the edges of the Basic White panel.  I adhered the balloon panel to another panel of Basic White card stock with Stampin’ Seal and then to the front of a Thick Basic White card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Balloon Festoon stamp set in Flirty Flamingo ink on a panel of Basic White card stock and then cut around it with one of the Words & Wishes Dies (available May 5).  I adhered the die cut sentiment to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and then added three Wonderful Stars Puffy Stickers (Online Exclusive item) to finish the card front.
