Banner Banter Fry Box – Stampin’ Up!

I had some fun with the Fry Box Bigz L Die from Stampin’ Up! today.  I decided that I wanted to see if I could make a box out of one of the bags Polka Dot Tag a Bag Gift Bags and I found out that one bag is the perfect size to cut two Fry Boxes!

These little boxes are so easy to put together!  All that you need is a little paper, the die and some Fast Fuse Adhesive.  I did find that the gift bags were not quite as sturdy as normal card stock for the finished treat holder, but they sure are cute!

To decorate the boxes, I stamped the sentiment from the Banner Banter stamp set in VersaMark Ink on a Whisper White panel and I heat embossed it with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder.  Then I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig and I stamped the image from the A Round Array stamp set around the sentiment in Blackberry Bliss ink.  I punched the sentiment out with the 7/8″ Scallop Circle Punch and adhered it to a 1″ Circle Punch from Gold Foil Sheets with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Then I adhered the layered sentiment to a 1-1/4″ Scallop Circle Punch from Blackberry Bliss card stock with SNAIL.

I added a little Blackberry Bliss 3/8″ Stitched Satin Ribbon and a bit of the Gold Sequin Trim to each box (using SNAIL for the ribbon and Glue Dots for the sequins), then adhered the layered sentiment circles with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I added a few Blackberry Bliss card stock flower punches, using the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack Punch and some leftover sequins (adhered with Multipurpose Liquid Glue) to finish up the boxes.

I added a few treats to a cellophane bags and tied them shut with Gold Baker’s Twine.  I added a bow tied with Blackberry Bliss Stitched Satin Ribbon to each bag of goodies and I tucked them inside the Fry Boxes.  A cute little treat all done in just a few minutes!

  1. I really like the way you turned something simple into such a fun and oh-so-beautiful gift item 😉 Who wouldn’t be happy to receive one of these, totally decked out and gorgeous! Amy, you are killing my budget, lol!

PS: I just ordered the Blendability storage you recommended. Now off to find a good clip on lamp. What watt bulb do you use? Great tip on daylight bulb!

    • Ha ha! Glad that I can help you out in the budget department. 😉

I think that my lamp allows up to a 60 watt bulb, so I purchased the equivalent bulb in compact fluorescent in the daylight version. I had good luck finding them at Home Depot, they’ve got tons of bulbs plus the staff there can help you find a specific, if needed. Hope that helps. 🙂

      • Thanks for the lighting info! I’m so stoked to try it out. I knew I needed to change, but I couldn’t find any solutions that worked for me. I think these clamp lamps, I’m using an old small kitchen table – so I’m thinking 2 would work great. Plus, picking out bulbs drives me nuts, so I’m so excited to have solid advice from a crafter who understands what is really needed. I’ll let you know how it goes 🙂 thanks Amy!
