One Last Set of Quick Holiday Thank You Cards

Today I’m sharing two more quick holiday thank you’s.  I made the first card with the single Bold Snowflake stamp and that stamp is only available from Stampin’ Up until January 2, so make sure that you order soon!  I also used a couple of items from the 2013 Spring Catalog (which starts on January 3) and the Pretty Petites Sale-A-Bration stamp set and matching Petite Curly Label Punch (available Jan. 22-Mar. 22).

Bold Snowflake

Here is the list of products that you will need to make this card:

  • Bold Snowflake (132338 clear) **only available until Jan. 2, 2013
  • Pretty Petites (available Jan. 22-Mar. 22, 129639 wood, 129642 clear)
  • Petite Curly Label Punch (available Jan. 22-Mar. 22, 129405)
  • Blossom Punch (125603)
  • 1″ Square Punch (124094)
  • 3/16″ Corner Punch (119871)
  • Northern Flurry Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (120902)
  • Lacy Brocade Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (127819)
  • Pool Party Stampin’ Emboss Powder (available Jan. 3, 129321)
  • VersaMark Pad (102283)
  • Heat Tool (129053)
  • Large Rhinestone Basic Jewels (available Jan. 3, 129324)
  • Rhinestone Basic Jewels (119246)
  • Pool Party & Island Indigo (123002) Stampin’ Write Markers
  • Pool Party Core’dinations Card Stock (available Jan. 3, 129321)
  • Stampin’ Sanding System (129267)
  • Whisper White Card Stock (100730)
  • Pool Party Card Stock (122924)
  • Island Indigo Card Stock (122923)
  • Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430)
  • SNAIL Adhesive (104332)

I started with a Pool Party card base cut to 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″.  Then I cut a panel of Island Indigo to 4″ x 5-1/4″ and I embossed it with the Northern Flurry Embossing Folder.  Next, I cut a strip of Pool Party Core’dinations Card Stock to 1-3/4″ x 4″, I embossed it with the Lacy Brocade Embossing Folder and sanded the raised areas.  I trimmed the flagged end using my scissors and I adhered the banner to the Island Indigo panel with SNAIL.  Then I stamped the Bold Snowflake image on Whisper White in VersaMark ink, sprinkled it with Pool Party Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.  I punched the image out with my Blossom Punch and adhered it to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Next, I colored the sentiment from the Pretty Petites stamp set with my Stampin’ Write Markers and I stamped it on Whisper White.  I punched the image out with the Petite Curly Label punch.  Then I punched a 1″ Sqaure from Pool Party, rounded the corners with the 3/16″ Corner Punch and I adhered the square behind the sentiment with SNAIL.  I adhered the sentiment layers to the Island Indigo panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  To finish the card, I added rhinestones to the center of each embossed snowflake on the Island Indigo panel and I added a large rhinestone to the center of the Pool Party embossed snowflake.

I made the second card using the Frosty Friends and Curly Cute stamp sets.  Frosty Friends is a single stamp that is available in the Holiday catalog and it also goes away on Jan. 2.

Frosty Friends

Here is the list of products that you will need to make this card:

  • Frosty Friends (128117) **only available until Jan. 2
  • Curly Cute (117014 wood, 120510 clear)
  • Argyle Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (127750)
  • Snow Festival Designer Series Paper (126908) **only available until Jan. 2, 2013
  • Gumball Green (123002), Pumpkin Pie (105115) & Cherry Cobbler (119681) Stampin’ Write Markers
  • Whisper White Card Stock (100730)
  • Cherry Cobbler Card Stock (119685)
  • StazOn Jet Black Ink Pad (101406)
  • Cherry Cobbler Classic Stampin’ Pad (126966)
  • Dazzling Details (124117)
  • Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430)
  • SNAIL Adhesive (104332)

I started with a Whisper White card base cut to 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″.  Then I cut a panel of Snow Festival DSP to 4″ x 5-1/4″ and I adhered that directly to the Whisper White card base.  Then I cut a panel of Whisper White to 3-3/4″ x 5″ and I stamped the sentiment from the Curly Cute stamp set on it in Cherry Cobbler ink.  I embossed the panel with the Argyle Folder and I adhered it over the Snow Festival DSP panel.  Then I stamped the Frosty Friends image on Whisper White in StazOn Jet Black ink.  I colored the images using my Stampin’ Write Markers and I trimmed the edges to 1-7/8″ x 3-3/4″.  I adhered the snowmen image to a piece of Snow Festival DSP that I’d cut to 2-1/8″ x 4″ and I adhered the layers to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  To finish the card, I added a little bit of Dazzling Details on the shaded areas of the snowmen (I’m not sure how well that shows in the photo but it adds just a touch of sparkle in real life).

I’m finally all done with the holiday thank you’s and I’ve got a baby card using several new items and some Valentine cards and treats to share with you over the next few days.
