You Are Loved CAS Valentine

Today I’m sharing a clean and simple valentine that I made with the You Are Loved stamp set from Stampin’ Up.

I started with a card base of Calypso Coral cut to 5″ x 10″ and scored at 5″. Then I cut a panel of Pool Party to 4-3/4″ x 4-3/4″ and a panel of Soft Suede to 4-1/2″ x 4-1/2″. Next, I stamped the heart image from the You Are Loved on a piece of Soft Suede card stock cut to 2-5/8″ x 3″ in VersaMark ink, sprinkled it with Pool Party Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it. Then I cut a panel of Pool Party card stock to 2-3/4″ x 3-1/8″ and adhered it to the embossed image with SNAIL. I cut a panel of Calypso Coral card stock to 3″ x 3-3/8″ and I adhered that to the back of the layered embossed image with SNAIL. Then I stamped the sentiment on the larger Soft Suede panel in Soft Suede ink. I placed the larger Pool Party panel under the Soft Suede panel and used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to line up the sentiment. I carefully removed the Soft Suede panel and stamped the sentiment again on the Pool Party Panel. I used the same process to stamp the sentiment on the Calypso Coral card base. Then I started assembling the card. I adhered the heart image onto the larger Soft Suede panel with SNAIL and I added 3 of the Designer Builder Brads down the right side, using my piercing tool to pierce the holes for the brad prongs. Once I had the base brads set, I took 3 of the Designer Printed Brads and curled the prongs inside the brad. Then I used a Glue Dot to adhere each of the Designer Printed Brads to the center of the Builder Brads. To finish the card, I adhered the decorated panel to the Pool Party panel (making sure that I lined up the stamped sentiment) with SNAIL, then adhered the layered panels to the card base with SNAIL also.

Here is a closer picture of the brads. I was excited to find that the Designer Printed Brads fit perfectly in the center of the Designer Builder brads!
