I pulled out the new Snow Day stamp set from Stampin’ Up! to create my card share for today.  I love that it’s got all of the little pieces for the snowman extras, lots of fun!  My card design was inspired by the My Favorite Things Sketch 136.

I started by adhering a square of Winter Frost Specialty DSP to an Island Indigo card base with SNAIL.  Then I adhered a smaller square of the Winter Frost Specialty DSP to an Island Indigo square, then to the card front with SNAIL.  Next, I stamped the images from the Snow Day stamp set in Whisper White, Early Espresso, Tangerine Tango and Island Indigo ink on a Coastal Cabana card stock panel.  After heat setting the Whisper White Craft Ink, I stamped the eyes, mouth and buttons in VersaMark ink, sprinkled them with Black Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed them.

I cut the snowman out with one of the Circles Collection Framelits dies and adhered it with SNAIL to a circle that I’d cut from Island Indigo card stock and embossed with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing Folder.  Then I adhered the layered circles to the card front with SNAIL.  Next, I stamped the warm wishes sentiment in Island Indigo ink on a Coastal Cabana card stock strip and adhered it to an Island Indigo card stock strip.  I punched the layered strip with my Hexagon Punch to create the banner end, then adhered the strip to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I created the Holly Jolly sentiment by stamping the Tags 4 You image in VersaMark ink on a Coastal Cabana card stock panel, sprinkling it with Smoky Slate Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossing it.  I punched the sentiment out with the Label Bracket Punch then I colored the letters in with my Island Indigo Stampin’ Write Marker.

I punched two more Label Bracket Punches from Island Indigo card stock, cut them in half, then cut the points off the sides and I adhered them to the back of the sentiment punch with SNAIL leaving a little gap in the center.  Then I adhered the sentiment to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I finished the inside of the card by stamping the sentiment from the More Merry Messages stamp set in Island Indigo ink on a Whisper White panel, then adhering a strip of Island Indigo card stock and a strip of Winter Frost Specialty DSP.
