Stampin’ Up! Endless Wishes Mailable Cards & A Little More Blog Candy

I made two cards with the Endless Wishes stamp set from Stampin’ Up! to share with you today.  I made these so that are mailable with just one stamp, something that I rarely do but is so nice when you’re creating a stack of cards to mail out for the holidays.

I’ve got a blog candy winner and a new blog candy package for my blog birthday weekend below so after checking out my cards be sure to scroll to the bottom of this post for all of that information.

Endless Wishes

I started the card on the left by stamping the snowflake images from the Endless Wishes Photopolymer stamp set in Smoky Slate ink on a Smoky Slate panel, then adhering it to an Island Indigo card base.

Endless Wishes 1

The two patterned flags were cut from the Winter Frost Specialty DSP pack and punched on the end with the Hexgon Punch.  The solid banner was cut from the Island Indigo Textured Card Stock pack and also punched with the Hexagon Punch.

Endless Wishes 2

I cut the scallop circle from Island Indigo Textured Card Stock with the Perfect Pennants Bigz L Die and the Whisper White circle was cut with the Circles #2 Originals Die.  I stamped the snowflakes in Coastal Cabana and Island Indigo inks.  I also added a snowflake that I cut from Silver Glimmer Paper with the Festive Flurry Framelits die and a sentiment banner that I cut with the little die from the Circle Card Thinlits die set.

More Merry Messages

I stamped the Whisper White panel inside the card in Island Indigo ink with the sentiment from the More Merry Messages stamp set (wood mount and clear mount) and the Endless Wishes snowflakes.

Endless Wishes 3

For the card on the right, I adhered a panel of the Winter Frost Specialty DSP to a panel of Cherry Cobbler card stock, then to a Pool Party card base.

Endless Wishes 4

I stamped the Endless Wishes Snowflakes in Pool Party ink and the sentiment in Cherry Cobbler ink on a Whisper White panel.  I adhered the panel to a panel of Cherry Cobbler card stock then wrapped a piece of Silver 1/8″ Ribbon around it and adhered the layered panel to the card front.  I finished the card front by punching a star from Red Glimmer Paper with the Merry Minis Punch Pack punch and adhering it with a Glue Dot.

More Merry Messages 1

The Whisper White panel inside the card was stamped with the sentiment from More Merry Messages and the Endless Wishes snowflakes in Pool Party ink.

Day Two of My Birthday Blog Candy Weekend

A big thank you to everyone who stopped by to leave me a comment yesterday, I appreciate it!  It was so much fun reading about your birthday traditions.  Now, for the winner…The Random Number Generator chose comment number 22 and that comment was from Diane Casino.  Diane said:

Happy Blogging birthday, Amy! Our family tradition is playing party games and everyone, winner or not, gets a prize. My grandchildren, ages 7 and 9, don’t have this same tradition so I threw myself a little party this year and infused the old tradition again. Everyone was surprised.

Congratulations Diane!!  I’ll get your ink pads and Frosted Finishes Embellishments mailed out to you tomorrow!

And the blog candy for today…

Today’s blog candy is the Sweet Essentials wood mount stamp set and a package of Island Indigo Baker’s Twine.

Blog Candy 1

To be entered to win the blog candy package for today, simply leave me a comment on this post by 8:00 AM EST tomorrow (Monday, Nov 11) telling me the one item from Stampin’ Up! that you’d get yourself for your birthday if you could.  It can be anything on your wish list big or small.

The item that I’d choose would be the Typeset Alphabet Bigz Dies.  I’d love to have them…maybe one day.  🙂

If you left a comment yesterday, feel free to drop back and leave another one to be entered to win this stamp set and twine.  I’ll randomly draw a winner from those comments left on this post and I’ll announce the winner on my blog tomorrow morning.  Anyone is welcome to leave a comment but I’m only able to ship the blog candy to addresses within the United States.  Thanks for your understanding.

  1. I’m with you on the alphabet bigz set…maybe they will put it on one of their weekly sales?! I’d also love some of the stamp set/punch combos & stamp set/framelit combos…so many awesome goodies including the wood mount (woohoo!) stamp set & twine you have for blog candy! Thanks for the chance to win!! I look forward to seeing your posts each day! 🙂

  2. Happy Birthday Blog to you! The one thing I would get from Stampin Up is not really a fair question because it is difficult to limit myself to just 1 thing but I would get the Chalk Talk Bundle. I have wanted it since the day I opened that book and some day, some how I will.

  3. I would get myself the Magnetic Platform for my birthday gift. That would be my favorite present. Thanks for the chance at winning something for myself.

  4. I would get myself the Big Shot Magnetic Platform because the Painter’s tape trick is driving me crazy! I keep tearing the paper when I try to remove it from the framelit & paper. Thanks for the chance to win.

  5. Love the elegant cards. Very different from the usual holiday cards, which is a very nice change. My SU choice would be the BIG alphabet set. See some uses for it, but not enough to warrant the purchase!

  6. Neat cards and mailable! Great!! What I would get if I could (without feeling guilty!) would be the complete set of new markers. And lots and lots of matching cardstock! Never enough cardstock! Thank you for a chance to win some awesome blog candy and Happy Birthday wishes to you.

  7. Happy Blog Birthday! For only being at this for a year, you do a great job and are very consistent. I really appreciate your blog and beautiful cards. I’m torn between wanting an 8.5×11 pack of every color card stock (I’m still building up my inventory) and the magnetic big shot platform. But I’m super excited at the chance to win the adorable twine as well! Thanks for the opportunity.

  8. Beautiful cards and a great blog! As far as what I would get – – I’m with you Amy, I’d get the Typeset Alphabet Bigz Dies too. I’m seeing it used more and more and I think I need it:-)

  9. Your cards a so pretty and liked how you showed to use the same stamp set in two ways too!. If I was to wish for just one thing it would be Memorable Moments on page 134 of the catalog, there are so many possibilities with this set.

  10. Hi Amy! Happy Birthday on your blog! I love your cards- They’re such an inspiration! For my birthday I would buy the magnetic platform. It makes using the dies so much easier! Love your blog candy too!

  11. A whole weekend of birthday fun! I have a wish list of items but the items drop in priority every time I look at your blog and see another beautiful card. So right now, I think it would be the Festive Flurry bundle but I sure do like the Sweet Essentials stamp set. Thank you for your thoughtfulness, Amy!

  12. Love your blog ~ Happy Birthday Dear Blog !! I would love to get the scissors that cost $30 !! They sound fabulous, but that’s a lot of money for scissors. If only I could try them out first !!! Thanks for your fun Birthday Blog Candy.

  13. Happy Blog Birthday, Amy! If I could splurge and treat myself to one thing, it would be one of the higher priced dies such as the Designer Rosette, Fun Flowers, or Peekaboo Frames.

  14. Happy birthday to your blog! If I got myself a birthday gift from SU!, I would get either the Tasteful Trims Bigz Die or a new set of the watercolor markers.

  15. I would like to buy for myself either the Circle Card thinlets die or the Label Card thinlets die, but since I was buying a birthday gift for myself, maybe I would treat myself to both!
Thanks again for all the inspiration and daily posts!

  16. I can’t believe I missed yesterday’s – of all the days to be too busy to read it! 🙂 Happy birthday anyway! I managed to catch this one. I’d take the Joyful Christmas Clear Mount stamp set, I think. I love how it looks when it’s embossed and colored on vellum. Either that or the envelope punch board. 😀 Thanks for the giveaway! You’re doing great!!

  17. Even though I am late in entering this comment – Happy blog anniversary! I wanted to let you know that I love your christmas creations. One thing on my wish list would be the DSP’s you use. Your cards are so inspirational I look fwd to seeing them everyday. 🙂
