Christmas Star in Gold and Vanilla – Stampin’ Up!

I used the Christmas Star single stamp available from Stampin’ Up! to create a Very Vanilla and gold card to share with you today.  This stamp is one of the Holiday Collection single stamps that are available from Stampin’ Up! through January 31, 2014.  To see all of the single stamps available in my online store, click here.

My card design was inspired by the Mojo Monday 319 sketch.

Christmas Star - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the En Francais (wood mount and clear mount) background image in VersaMark ink on a Very Vanilla panel and heat embossed it with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder.  The embossed panel was layered over a panel of Gold Foil Sheet then adhered to a Very Vanilla card base.

Christmas Star 1 - Stamp With Amy K

I used the Stylish Stripes Embossing Folder to emboss the Very Vanilla rectangle and I layered it over a Gold Foil Sheet panel.  The circles were cut from Gold Foil Sheets and Very Vanilla card stock with the Circles Collection Framelits Dies.  I stamped the Christmas Star image in VersaMark ink and heat embossed it with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder.

Christmas Star 3 - Stamp With Amy K

I cut out the star with my Paper Snips then I used the Simply Scored Scoring Tool to score each line in the star and I folded the star slightly along the score lines.  I layered three Stampin’ Dimensionals under the center of the star and adhered it to the card front.

Christmas Star 2 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the A Round Array (wood mount and clear mount) image and the sentiment from the Endless Wishes Photopolymer stamp set in VersaMark ink and heat embossed them with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder.  I punched out the A Round Array image with the 7/8″ Scallop Circle Punch and layered it over a 1″ Circle Punch from Gold Foil Paper.  I used the Hexagon Punch to create the banner end on the sentiment and I layered over a banner of Gold Foil Paper that I embossed with the Beautifully Baroque Embossing Folder.  The sentiment banners were adhered with double layered Stampin’ Dimensionals.

More Merry Messages - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the sentiment from the More Merry Messages stamp set (wood mount and clear mount) and the image from the A Round Array stamp set in VersaMark ink on a Very Vanilla panel and heat embossed them with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder to complete the inside of the card.

  1. Oh, my goodness, Amy! This card is simply STUNNING! I just finished cleaning up after making a batch of cards using the Christmas Star stamp, but I think I’ll be pulling the stamp back out to CASE this! Truly the best Christmas card I’ve seen this year — and that’s saying a lot!

    • Thanks so much! The star actually is sort-of 3-D. I scored the lines down the star and did little mountain folds. Then I stacked up 3 Stampin’ Dimensionals under the center of it to pop it up off the card base. That gives it a little depth. 🙂
