Glittery Lovely as a Tree Card – Stampin’ Up!

I pulled out the Lovely as a Tree stamp set from Stampin’ Up! to create a glittery winter scene for my card today.  The Paper Players #174 Evergreen theme was my inspiration for this card.  The colors were inspired by the Split Coast Stampers CC455 Color Challenge, which was to use Wild Wasabi, Daffodil Delight and Gold for a card.  An unusual color combination, I was surprised how well the colors came together for a holiday card.

Lovely as a Tree - Stamp With Amy K

I started by embossing a Gold Foil Sheet panel with the Northern Flurry Embossing Folder.  I adhered the panel to a Wild Wasabi card base and I added a strip of Wild Wasabi DSP from the Subtles DSP Stacks over the Gold Foil Sheet.

Lovely as a Tree 1 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the evergreen tree images from the Lovely as a Tree stamp set (wood mount and clear mount) in VersaMark Ink and heat embossed them with Wild Wasabi Stampin’ Emboss Powder on a Soft Sky panel.  Then I used my White Stampin’ Chalk Marker to add a few “snowflakes” to the background and to color a little bit of snow under the trees.  I pulled out my Dazzling Details and went a little crazy adding glitter all over the trees and the snow under the trees.

Lovely as a Tree 2 - Stamp With Amy K

I punched a star from a Gold Foil Sheet with the little punch from the Merry Minis Punch Pack (on sale through Dec 9 for 25 % off) and little circles from Daffodil Delight card stock using the Cupcake Builder Punch.  I adhered the dots to the tree, then covered them in Dazzling Details also…I had glitter glue stuck all over my hands by the time I was done with this one!!  I adhered the stamped image to a Wild Wasabi panel, then to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Snow Day - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped part of the sentiment from the Snow Day stamp set (wood mount and clear mount) in Wild Wasabi ink on a Whisper White panel and I cut it out with my Paper Snips.  I punched the end of the sentiment and the end of a strip of Daffodil Delight DSP from the Brights DSP Stack with the Hexagon Punch and I adhered them to the card front.  To finish the card, I added three Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

More Merry Messages - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the sentiment from the More Merry Messages stamp set (wood mount and clear mount) and the little pine tree branch from the Lovely as a Tree stamp set in Wild Wasabi ink on a Whisper White panel to complete the inside of the card.

The complete list of supplies, including card stock cuts, to create the project is at the very bottom of this post.
