Work of Art Meets Sassy Salutations – Stampin’ Up!

I used the Work of Art and Sassy Salutations stamp sets from Stampin’ Up! to create a quick thank you card to share today.  My card design was inspired by CAS(E) this Sketch #74.

I started by stamping the paint splash image from the Work of Art stamp  set (available June 2) in Smoky Slate ink on a Whisper White panel.  Then I took a sheet of scrap paper and tore it in half and I placed half of the sheet above the paint splash image and half below it to mask the area.

Then I stamped the chevron image from the Work of Art stamp set twice in Basic Gray ink over the paint splash image and mask.

I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to stamp the sentiment from the Sassy Salutations stamp set (wood mount and clear mount) in VersaMark Ink.  I sprinkled the sentiment with Melon Mambo Stampin’ Emboss Powder (retiring) and heat embossed it.  I adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Melon Mambo card stock with SNAIL then to a Basic Gray card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I scattered some random Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Melon Mambo (from the Brights Candy Dots pack), Smoky Slate and Basic Gray (both from the Neutrals Candy Dots pack) Candy Dots over the stamped image to complete the card front.

I stamped the chevron image from the Work of Art stamp set again in Basic Gray ink on a Whisper White panel to complete the inside of the card.

  1. I see that this stamp will be a must have! There are a few ‘sneak peek’ cards on Splitcoast’s Stampin’ Up gallery using this stamp and another, including a few new colors as well as the alcohol markers.

  2. Wow! Your card today has a beautiful blend of elegant sassiness! Totally NOT because of one of your stamp sets, lol. Really because the Basic Grey with the Melon Mambo just soothes and excites at the same time. The embellishments are perfect with the rhinestones and candy dots. It’s a beautiful card Amy 🙂

      • You work so hard to make all these awesome cards! I love to see what you come up with everyday 🙂 It’s a treat to get your email and get to see your latest creation, so I try to always let you know how much I appreciate all that you do and share with us!

      • Thanks so much for all of your comments Jill, I do appreciate them! It makes my “job” so much more fun when I hear from you all. 🙂
