Calypso Coral Too Kind – Stampin’ Up!

I used the Too Kind stamp set from Stampin’ Up! to create my card to share today.  My card design was inspired by the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #219 and the colors were inspired by The Paper Players #195.

I started by adhering a panel of the Etcetera DSP (on sale through May 19 for 25% off) to a Calypso Coral card base with SNAIL.  Then I adhered a smaller strip from that same DSP pack to a strip of Calypso Coral card stock, then to the card front with SNAIL.

Too Kind 1 - Stamp With Amy K

I cut a strip of Pear Pizzazz card stock with the Finished Touches Edgelits Die and I adhered it to the card front with SNAIL.  Quick tip:  Place a piece of wax paper between your card stock and the die and it will slide right out of the die without ripping.  It also makes those little oval shapes so much easier to get out too!

Then I stamped the images and sentiment from the Too Kind stamp set in So Saffron, Pear Pizzazz and Calypso Coral inks on a Very Vanilla panel.  I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to help with placement of the flowers and sentiment.  I adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Calypso Coral card stock with SNAIL, then adhered the layered panel to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Too Kind 2 - Stamp With Amy K

I used my dark Old Olive Stampin’ Blendabilities Marker to color a Vintage Faceted Designer Button and I adhered it to the card front with a Glue Dot.  I tied a bow from Gold Baker’s Twine and adhered it over the button with a rolled up Glue Dot.  I love the way that the button turned a pretty pale green when I colored it!

Etcetera DSP - Stamp With Amy K

I adhered a strip of the leftover Etcetera DSP to a strip of Calypso Coral card stock, then to a Very Vanilla panel to complete the inside of the card.

You can find a complete list of supplies, including card stock cuts, at the very bottom of this post.

  1. So cheerful! I think this card is quite versatile. I need to open this stamp and become reacquainted with it. I really like the green button technique and as always, your color and pattern combos are perfect for the mood of the card.

  2. Oh my gosh, I just love this dsp! You show it so well with the card(s) you made. I haven’t gotten it yet, but now I really want it. Fantastic tip on using the Blendabilities with the vintage faceted buttons! I wouldn’t have thought about doing that and it is such a perfect addition, a detail that pops! Thank you so much for the ideas today Amy 🙂

  3. You’ve used one of my favorite stamp sets today, Amy, and how perfect it is for this color combo! Paired with the DSP you chose, it makes for quite a happy creation! Thanks for joining us this week at The Paper Players!
