Wondrous Wreath Joy Card – Stampin’ Up!

I’ve got a fun stamp set with a matching Framelits die set from the 2014 Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog to share with you today.  I used the Wondrous Wreath stamp set and Wonderful Wreath Framelits Dies to create this card.  The stamp set and Framelits will be available as a bundle with a 15% discount!

Wondrous Wreath - Stamp With Amy K

My card design was inspired by the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 231.

And the colors for my card were inspired by the Hand Stamped Sentiments #192 color challenge.  Although I did cheat a little and I added a touch of Wild Wasabi to the wreath.  🙂

I started by embossing a panel of Baked Brown Sugar card stock with the On Point Embossing Folder (available Aug 28).  I adhered the embossed panel to a Cherry Cobbler card base with SNAIL.  Then I adhered a panel from the Trim the Tree DSP Stack (available Aug 28) to a panel of Cherry Cobbler card stock, then to the card front with SNAIL.

Wondrous Wreath 1 - Stamp With Amy K

I cut three strips of DSP from the Trim the Tree DSP Stack and punched the ends with the Banner Punch.  I adhered the three strips of DSP to the card front with SNAIL.  Then I stamped the wreath image from the Wondrous Wreath photopolymer stamp set (available Aug 28) in Wild Wasabi ink on a Whisper White panel.  I stamped over the image with the second set of leaves inked in Garden Green and the berries inked in Cherry Cobbler.

Wondrous Werath 3 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the bow in Cherry Cobbler ink on a Whisper White panel and cut the bow and wreath out with the matching Wonderful Wreath Framelits Dies (available Aug 28).  I adhered the bow to the wreath with SNAIL, then adhered the wreath with Stampin’ Dimensionals to a Garden Green card stock circle that I’d cut with a Circles Collection Framelits Die.  I adhered the Garden Green circle to a circle cut from Cherry Cobbler card stock with a Circles Collection Framelits Die with SNAIL, then adhered the layered wreath image to the card front with SNAIL.

Wondrous Wreath 2 - Stamp With Amy K

I cut the sentiment from Red Glimmer Paper with the Wonderful Wreath Framelits Die.  Quick tip:  Since this die cut is very narrow, be sure to add a piece of wax paper between your die and your paper to make it easy to remove the die cut from the die.  I adhered the sentiment to the wreath with Multipurpose Liquid Glue to complete the card front.

Trim the Tree DSP - Stamp With Amy K

I added a strip of DSP from the Trim the Tree DSP Stack to a Whisper White panel inside the card.  And with that, my first holiday card of 2014 is done!  Now I’ve only got about 149 more to go!!  🙂

  1. What a fabulous card design! I am lovin’ the red glimmer “joy.” It adds the perfect finishing element to your gorgeous Christmas design. Thank you for joining our color challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments. Smiles, Elizabeth

  2. I love this festive card with the glitter joy. It looks like you could mail with out extra postage, bonus. ;}

  3. Yikers, that is a lot of cards to make Amy!! Your card today has wonderful layers that really bring depth to your card, yet as Randy said, it looks extremely mail friendly. The On Point EF adds a nice subtle layer and I’m going to take a closer look at that one. You are always pointing out products that I’ve glossed over, lol 😉

  4. This is so fresh and fun with just the right touch of bling with the glimmery sentiment. Love that traditional patterned paper, it’s right up my (Christmas) alley! Thanks for playing with the color combo at HSS! Erika
