I used the Sale-A-Bration exclusive stamp set from Stampin’ Up! called You Brighten My Day for the Stamping and Blogging sketch this week. I love that this set coordinates with so many punches from the Annual Catalog!
My card design was inspired by the Stamping and Blogging SB87 Sketch.
I started by embossing a panel of Sahara Sand card stock with the Happy Heart Embossing Folder. I adhered the embossed panel to a panel of Lost Lagoon card stock with SNAIL.
I cut a banner with one of the Banners Framelits dies from Sweet Dreams DSP and I adhered it to the embossed panel with SNAIL. Then I stamped the sentiment from the Simply Wonderful stamp set (Sale-A-Bration item) in Lost Lagoon ink on a Soft Sky panel and punched it out with the Decorative Label Punch. I adhered the punched sentiment to the back of a layered panel of Whisper White card stock and one of the sheets from the Sweet Dreams DSP pack, then I adhered the layered panels to the embossed panel with SNAIL.
I stamped the little houses from the You Brighten My Day stamp set in VersaMark Ink on Lost Lagoon and Hello Honey panels, sprinkled them with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed them. I colored the windows and roof on each house with Lost Lagoon and Hello Honey Stampin’ Write Markers, then punched them out with the What’s Up Punch. I adhered the Lost Lagoon houses with SNAIL to the panel and the Hello Honey house with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I wrapped a strand of Linen Thread around the panel and tied it through one of the Sweet Dreams Designer Buttons. I added a Glue Dot under the button to make sure that it stayed securely on the card front. Then I adhered the layered panel to a Hello Honey card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to stamp three little houses with the You Brighten My Day stamp set in Hello Honey ink on a Whisper White panel inside the card.
