Stampin’ Up! So You White on White Embossed Love

I used the So You photopolymer stamp set from Stampin’ Up! to create my card to share today.  This isn’t a stamp set that initially jumped out at me when I flipped through the catalog, but then I started seeing projects that were made with it and I knew that I had to have it!  It has some great sentiments and images.

So You - Stamp With Amy K

My card design was inspired by Sunday Stamps SSC92.

Screen Shot 2015-01-14 at 3.16.31 PMI started by stamping the heart images from the So You photopolymer stamp set in VersaMark Ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  I sprinkled the images with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed them.

So You 2 - Stamp With Amy K

I cut a strip of Whisper White card stock with one of the dies from the Finishing Touches Edgelits Dies and I adhered it under the edge of the embossed panel with SNAIL, then adhered the entire panel to a Whisper White card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

So You 3 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the sentiment from the So You stamp set in VersaMark Ink on a Whisper White strip, sprinkled it with Blushing Bride Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.  I punched the end of the strip with the Hexagon Punch and snipped away a little excess to create the banner end then adhered the sentiment to the card front with SNAIL.

So You 1 - Stamp With Amy K

I tied a strand of Blushing Bride Baker’s Twine through one of the Sweet Dreams Designer Buttons and adhered the button to the card front with a Glue Dot.

So You 4 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the heart images from the So You stamp set in Blushing Bride ink on a Whisper White panel inside the card.

  1. Your card is so many elegant touches today 🙂 The embossed hearts and the edging stand out for me. I like that you made the edging a separate layer. I agree that this is a set that didn’t pique my interest at first, but then I’m starting to really see it’s options. Thanks Amy, for helping me see another set I’ve got to have, lol 😉

  2. A lovely card, Amy. Love the subtle color combo. Very pretty. Thanks for joining us at Sunday Stamps! 🙂

  3. This was on my order I was playing, but I only wanted the “Smile”– so, I’ve been googling, trying to decide if I can justify the whole stamp set… so, Thanks… this definitely is tipping the scales… you know how we are– gotta “justify” everything! LOL the combination of being a woman and a demonstrator (esp a hobby one!) is definitely a dangerous one for that HAHA
