Stampin’ Up! Undefined Stamp Carving Kit

I used the Stampin’ Up! Undefined Stamp Carving Kit to create a personalized stamp last year around this time.  For those of you who’ve been following along for awhile, you probably remember this card that I posted for World Autism Awareness Day last year.  For those of you who’ve started following my blog more recently, you may not know that I have a daughter with autism.  I carved a stamp just for her and I made another card with it to share with you for World Autism Day this year.  🙂

Hello Life - Stamp With Amy K

My card design was loosely inspired by the CAS(E) this Sketch #116.

Screen Shot 2015-04-01 at 3.07.36 PMI started by stamping the two sentiments and the heart images from the Hello Life photopolymer stamp set in Real Red ink, Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and Pacific Point ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  The line on the “love” sentiment was just a little shorter than I wanted it to be, so I used the fine point of my Real Red Stampin’ Write Marker to extend the line to the edge of the panel.

Hello Life 1 - Stamp With Amy K

I used the oval template from the Occasions Paper-Piercing Pack and my Paper-Piercing Tool to pierce two ovals above the sentiment.  I adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Real Red cad stock with SNAIL, then to a Pacific Point card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Hello Life 3 - Stamp With Amy K

I colored my stamp that I’d carved with the Undefined Stamp Carving Kit with Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Real Red, Garden Green, Pacific Point and Elegant Eggplant Stampin’ Write Markers and I stamped it on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  I cut the heart out with my Paper Snips and adhered it with SNAIL to a heart cut from Real Red card stock with one of the Hearts Collection Framelits Dies.

Hello Life 2 - Stamp With Amy K

I adhered the layered heart to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals, then pulled a strand of Whisper White Baker’s Twine through a Pacific Point button from the Brights Designer Buttons Pack, tied a bow and adhered it with a Glue Dot to finish the card front.

Hello Life 4 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the heart image from the Hello Life stamp set in Pacific Point Ink on a Whisper White panel inside the card.  I also extended the line on this image a little bit with my Pacific Point Stampin’ Write Marker.

If you haven’t tried carving your own stamp yet with the Undefined Stamp Carving Kit, you should!  It’s a lot of fun and really easy too.

  1. Amy, I just love this stamp and card! I shared with you last year that my son also has autism and he’s always by my side doing artwork while I’m making my cards. I often think of the card you made last year for Autism Awareness; you made a big impression on my heart!!! I purchased the Undefined Kit so that I could carve something like this but I’m too intimidated to try it. Thanks for sharing another project with this beautiful stamp…it’s truly my favorite stamp!

    • Thanks Tricia! I love that your son creates his artwork while you’re stamping. My daughter LOVES to paint and her favorite spot to paint is outside at her little picnic table. 🙂 You really should give stamp carving a try. It’s much easier than you’d think it would be!

  2. Amy,
That is so beautiful on many levels! Your talents are unending! Your daughter is blessed to have you as a mom.

  3. Love the way you celebrate the gift of your daughter in a card… So moved by this loving gesture!

  4. I love this stamp, you made it with YOUR heart and it is a phenomenal representation of Autism. Our lives are like puzzle pieces that go together, some just a little differently. I hope your day is full of smiles and giggles Amy 😀
