I used the Stampin’ Up! Suite Sayings stamp set and a little of the Wildflower Fields DSP to create my card to share today.
My card design was inspired by Pals Paper Arts PPA282.
I started by adhering a panel from the Wildflower Fields DSP (Sale-a-bration item) to a panel of Basic Black card stock with SNAIL then to a Thick Whisper White card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I adhered a smaller strip of the Wildflower Fields DSP to a strip of Basic Black card stock, then to the card front with SNAIL.
I masked the bottom part of the sentiment from the Suite Sayings stamp set with Post-It Notes, then inked the “thanks” in Calypso Coral. I removed the mask and colored the “for being you” with my Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker, then stamped it on a panel of Whisper White card stock.
I stamped the circle image from the You’re So Lovely photopolymer stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink around the sentiment, then cut the image out with a Circles Collection Framelits die. I adhered the circle die cut to a 2-1/2″ Circle Punch from Basic Black card stock with SNAIL and to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I adhered a strip of Wildflower Fields DSP to a panel of Whisper White card stock inside the card.

Cute! Love that DSP!
Thanks Linda! Love that DSP too…love it even more since it’s free! 🙂
Love it, Amy! This is my fave DSP ever! ☺️
Thanks Mary! 🙂
Love the splash of bright Calypso Coral Amy 🙂 Happy color for a super sunny day!
Thanks Jill! We need a little splash of sunshine today…we’re cold and gloomy here in Atlanta! 🙂
I guess we were lucky today, it was gorgeously sunny! Hope we don’t don’t get anymore rain for awhile, starting to think we need gills 😛
Very sophisticated look! Thanks for playing!
Thanks for stopping by to leave a comment! 🙂
The red horizontal Wildflower Fields DSP strip across bottom of card is very appealing. I was wondering why you used a white background to display the card instead of some outdoors kind of look? It still a great card!
Thanks Brent! I try to keep the backgrounds with as little distraction as possible and I find that white generally works well. 🙂
Sometimes my cards appear washed out or out of focus, if I do not have the correct background. I did test your image on green foliage and did not make a difference. Your bold black lines make the background less of a factor. Sometime my details are not bold enough. You have great card!
Thanks Brent! Sometimes I do add a little color to the background too…just depends on the card and whether I’ve got the lighting right. 🙂
I am guessing you might varying the shadows from card to card by moving the light source. I have seen Pinterest PINs about using kind of white box to place the card. You have made effective use of shadows in your card presentations. My own preference is to see shadows for most cards. Do you have a preference on shadows?
I like to have a little shadow around the white cards, otherwise I can’t say that I have a preference. I’m finding that if I slide the cards closer to the light source and leave more space behind it that I’m getting the shadow effect that I want. 🙂
I will try your idea on shadow effect. I will try try white table top and white wall more often. I like the results of using Brian King’s idea of burnt orange table top with some cards. 🙂
I tried your way (white table and background) on MOJO430! 🙂
I’ll go check it out. 🙂
Congratulations on your card being Pals Paper Arts Pick! Well deserved.
Thanks so much! 🙂
