Stampin’ Up! Watercolor Wishes With Botanical Blooms

I used the stamp set from the Stampin’ Up! Watercolor Wishes Card Kit and the Botanical Blooms stamp set to create my card to share today.

Watercolor Wishes - Stamp With Amy K

My card design was inspired by CAS(E) this Sketch #162.

The colors for my card were inspired by Fab Friday #82.

And the theme for my card was inspired by Just Us Girls #333.

I started by stamping the sentiment from the Watercolors Wishes photopolymer stamp set on the front of a Thick Whisper White card base in Blushing Bride ink.

Watercolor Wishes 4 - Stamp With Amy K

I cut the end of a panel from the Birthday Bouquet DSP with the end of the largest Lots of Labels Framelits Dies.  Since I wanted the DSP panel to be slightly larger than the width of the Framelit, I rolled the Framelit through my Big Shot just far enough to cut the end and then I reversed it back out.  I snipped away the excess from the bottom (you can see the two notches outside the Framelit in the photo) to create the panel that I wanted.

Watercolor Wishes 2 - Stamp With Amy K

I wrapped a strand of Pool Party 3/8″ Glitter Ribbon around the panel and adhered it with SNAIL.  Then I adhered the DSP panel to the card front with SNAIL.

Watercolor Wishes 3 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the leaf image from the Botanical Blooms photopolymer stamp set in Mint Macaron ink twice on a panel of Mint Macaron card stock.  I cut the stamped images and the fine leaves out with the Botanical Builder Framelits Dies and adhered them with Glue Dots to the card front.  I cut the larger flower from Blushing Bride card stock and the flower center from Pool Party card stock with the Botanical Builder Framelits Dies.  I sponged a little of the corresponding ink over the centers of the die cut images and adhered them to the card front with Glue Dots.

Watercolor Wishes 1 - Stamp With Amy KI cut three small flowers from Pool Party card stock with the Botanical Builder Framelits Dies and adhered them to the card front with rolled up Glue Dots.  I added a Pearl Basic Jewel to the center of the little flowers to finish the card front.

Botanicals for You - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the flower and leaf images from the Botanicals for You stamp set (Sale-e-bration item) in Blushing Bride, Pool Party and Mint Macaron inks on a panel of Whisper White card stock inside the card.

  1. So fresh & ‘spring’ like! I am ready for spring & this card brought a smile to my face! Love the layout, too! Thanks for posting!

  2. Amy, this is SO pretty! Your details are so perfect – and I especially love the inside stamping – so buttoned up! Thanks so much for playing at Fab Friday!

  3. This is a wow card on so many levels!! You did an awesome job creating a card for 3 challenges/sketches 😉 You’re Wonder Woman! And it’s a gorgeous card to boot Amy! Great tip for getting the panel wider than the framelit, I love the way it looks on the front. And your inside is divine! Ok, ok, I could go on and on, bottom line – LOVE your card Amy 🙂

  4. I have been telling myself at my SU club card party that I do not need this floral die…this card is so pretty that you are making it very difficult to resist! Great job! Thanks for playing along with us over at Just Us Girls this week!

  5. Pretty! I love that little flower beside the hello sentiment. It’s those little extra touches that make your cards stand out. Nice inside too. TFS

  6. Oh! That is a great sketch I hadn’t seen and you did a fabulous job with it! That DSP is perfect for the background and I love the layering! Thanks for playing at Fab Friday!

  7. wow, awesome way to combine all the challenges and the card is absolutely fabulous, I love the soft muted colors you chose for it.

  8. Perfect card to welcome in this spring weather! Great layering with the flowers and leaves…the dimensional really makes them pop! The tiny little flowers really make a big statement with the pearl centers! Thanks for sharing at Fab Friday!

  9. It would be impossible to make a card that’s softer and more beautiful than this one, Amy! Thank you so much for playing along with this soft-and-sweet Fab Friday color challenge!

  10. I have been enjoying making cards with Botanical Blooms. How is the best way you have found to mail these 3-D fragile cards? I use bubble wrap inside thick envelopes but I feel like I need something better to protect them.

    • I cut up the backing material from my designer paper packs and I put a piece of that over the front of my cards for mailing. That seems to get things to their destination in one piece! Hope that helps. 🙂
