I used the Stampin’ Up! Pedal Pusher Sale-a-bration exclusive stamp set to create my card for the Happy Stampers blog hop.
This week we’re doing something a little different with our Happy Stampers blog hop. As many of you may have noticed, the founder of this hop, Sandi MacIver, hasn’t been able to join us for the last few weeks. She’s been dealing with some significant health issues and she’s having surgery today to start her treatment. We wanted to let Sandi know that we were all thinking of her, so we’ve all created a card using this weeks color challenge that will send a little hug her way. We’re looking forward to having Sandi join us again soon!
We’ve got a color challenge to play along with this week and this is what I created to let Sandi know that I was thinking about her:
Here are the colors that we’re using this week:
I started by adhering a panel from the Wildflower Fields DSP (Sale-a-bration item) to a panel of Basic Black card stock with SNAIL, then to an Old Olive card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I stamped the bike image from the Pedal Pusher photopolymer stamp set (Sale-a-bration item) in VersaMark ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock, sprinkled it with Black Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it. I stamped and embossed the basket, then the flowers and finally the sentiment in the same manner. I find that it is easier for me to emboss the images individually when I use VersaMark, it makes the images easier to see when I’m stamping the second and third image close together.
I colored the images with my Hello Honey, Old Olive, Basic Black and Crumb Cake (don’t tell on me that I used one extra color) Stampin’ Write Markers. I used a little Old Olive ink and a Blender Pen to “ground” the bike, then adhered the panel to a panel of Basic Black card stock with SNAIL and to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I added a single Old Olive Candy Dot from the Brights Candy Dots pack next to the flower image to finish the card front.
I stamped the bike and flower image from the Pedal Pusher stamp set in Old Olive and Hello Honey inks on a Whisper White panel inside the card.

Once again, you’ve created a keeper! Those little extra touches, like the ground, add that special element. I’ve wondered where Sandi has been. Hope she does well. Your card (and the others) will cheer her.
