Stampin’ Up! Picture Perfect for Sunday Stamps

I used the Stampin’ Up! Picture Perfect, Gorgeous Grunge and Timeless Textures stamp sets to create my card for the Sunday Stamps sketch challenge this week.

Here is the sketch for Sunday Stamps SSC122.  Be sure to stop by the Sunday Stamps blog to check out what the other Design Team Members have created and be sure to play along too!

I started by ripping a panel of scrap paper at an angle and placing it over my Whisper White card stock panel.  I sponged Marina Mist ink on the uncovered side, not worrying too much about a precise line of ink.  I removed the scrap paper and sponged Crumb Cake ink over the left side of the panel right up and over the Marina Mist ink.

I inked up the splatter image from the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set in Crumb Cake ink, stamped it on scrap paper once, then stamped it several times over the panel without reinking.  I repeated that process a few times.

Then I inked the small ink spot image from the Timeless Textures stamp set in Whisper White Stampin’ Craft Ink and I stamped it many times over the area where the Marina Mist and Crumb Cake sponged inks met.

Picture Perfect 3 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the starfish image from the Picture Perfect photopolymer stamp set in So Saffron (image #1) and Calypso Coral (image #2) inks on a panel of So Saffron card stock, then I snipped it out.  I sponged a little Calypso Coral ink around the edges of the starfish, then adhered it to the sponged panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Picture Perfect stamp set in Soft Suede ink on the sponged panel, then adhered the panel to a panel of Crumb Cake card stock with SNAIL and to a Soft Suede card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I inked the starfish images from the Picture Perfect stamp set in So Saffron and Calypso Coral inks, stamped them on scrap paper once, then stamped them on a Whisper White panel.  I inked the image from the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set again in Crumb Cake ink, stamped it off and then stamped it across the starfish image to complete the inside of the card.

  1. Amy, your card is so beautiful. I love it. Such a simple card yet it looks like so much more. I’m going to definitely have to try this one, I’m so happy I bought that set.

  2. Sure do like this. Makes me remember many pleasant times at the ocean, which I miss still, after all these years.

  3. Another beauty. I like the colors you used for the starfish – using So Saffron for the first step gives them vibrancy. You make the most fabulous CAS cards!

  4. Amazing card, Amy! I love it. So much depth of color and realism!
I still follow you. I’m your “groupie” demo friend from Oregon. I love to brag that we met for coffee before you moved. I’m trying to get my blog up and running. I admire yours soooo much. Thank you!

  5. I am in love with your card Amy!! You made a phenomenal shoreline and fantastic starfish. I felt the warm saltwater breeze and felt the sand squish between my toes *sigh* 😀 Yep, I miss the beach too and your card brought some beach to us, thanks! 😉
