Stampin’ Up! Autism Matters Blog Hop
Welcome to the Autism Matters Leadership Blog Hop!
The intent of our blog hop today is to raise awareness and funds for autism related research, resources and services for those affected by autism and to advocate for the needs of those with autism. Autism statistics from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) identify around 1 in 68 American children as on the autism spectrum–a ten-fold increase in prevalence in 40 years. It is now more common in the United States than pediatric AIDS, juvenile diabetes, and childhood cancer combined.
If you’ve been following my blog for awhile, you probably already know this part…if you’re new to my blog, you’ll see why I jumped right in with this hop!
Raising awareness and funds for research and services for those with autism is very near and dear to me…I have a daughter with autism. If you’re interested in reading more about our story, you can click over to this page on my blog.
Since Autism Speaks encourages everyone to, “Light It Up Blue” for the month of April to raise awareness, I’ve tried to do just that with my project today. I used the Perfect Pennants and Timeless Textures stamp sets as well as the Rose Garden Thinlits Dies to create my card to share.
Stampin’ Up! Picture Perfect for Sunday Stamps
