Stampin’ Up! Candy Cane Christmas Sneak Peek

I used the Stampin’ Up! Candy Cane Christmas stamp set from the upcoming 2016 Holiday Catalog to create a clean and simple card to share today.

Candy Cane Christmas - Stamp With Amy K

My card design was inspired by CAS(E) this Sketch #186.

The sweet treat theme for my card was inspired by The Paper Players PP309.

I started by trimming a panel from the Candy Cane Lane DSP (available Sept 1) pack at an angle and then adhering it to a panel of Crumb Cake card stock with SNAIL.

Candy Cane Christmas 1 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the images from the Candy Cane Christmas stamp set (available Sept 1) in Real Red and Crumb Cake inks above the edge of the DSP (using my Stamp-a-ma-jig for placement) on the Crumb Cake card stock panel.  I stamped the sentiment in Early Espresso ink in the upper right corner of the panel.

Candy Cane Christmas 3 - Stamp With Amy K

I wrapped a strand of Real Red Baker’s Twine from the Candy Cane Lane Baker’s Twine pack (available Sept 1) around the panel three times and then tied one of the Christmas Trinkets Embellishments (available Sept 1) in the bow.  I adhered the layered panel to a Real Red card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Candy Cane Christmas 4 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the sentiment from the Christmas Pines photopolymer stamp set (available Sept 1) in Early Espresso ink on a Whisper White panel and then stamped the Candy Cane Christmas image in Real Red ink on the inside of the card.

  1. What a Fabulous CAS designed Chjristmas creation, Amy! Oh My Gosh, I just Love it to pieces! Wonderful how you let the dp do most of the work! The gingerbread trinket is so cute hanging from the baker’s twine~

  2. I love it! That suite is one of my favorites in the holiday catalog – the fonts in the stamp set are so pretty. I love the layout, and those trinkets are adorable. Might case this design for my holiday cards this year 🙂

  4. Amy, love the sentiment with those simple, homespun Christmas elements: the candy cane, the gingerbread men and those fabulous little mittens. So glad you joined us at the Paper Players this week

  5. I love this card, I was searching for a card to coordinate with a tag class that I am planning! I hope you don’t mind if I case it for the class!
