Stampin’ Up! Fa-la-la-la Friends Bear Card

I used the Stampin Up! Fa-la-la-la Friends stamp set to create a fun holiday card to share today.  I did have a little goof on the colors…I was sure that the Presents & Pinecones DSP had Real Red in it, so that’s what I used for all of the elements on my card.  I found out after assembling everything and then looking at the DSP pack that it actually coordinates with Cherry Cobbler.  Oops!  I still feel like the colors worked anyway.  🙂

My card design was inspired by Global Design Project #052.

And the colors for my card were inspired by Cupcake Inspirations Challenge 374.

I started by adhering two panels from the Presents & Pinecones DSP pack to a panel of Real Red card stock with SNAIL.  I stamped the bear image from the Fa-la-la-la Friends photopolymer stamp set in Early Espresso ink on a panel of Crumb Cake card stock and cut it out with the matching Bear Hugs Framelits die.

I stamped the bear image from the Fa-la-la-la Friends stamp set inEarly Espresso ink twice on a panel of Real Red card stock and once on a panel of Mint Macaron card stock and I cut them out with the Bear Hugs Framelits die.  I snipped the top, bottom and paws off the two Real Red die cuts and snipped just the band across the sweater out from the Mint Macaron card stock image and adhered the pieces together and to the Crumb Cake bear die cut with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Since the back side of the bears paws would be showing, I stamped the bear image on the back of the die cut and adhered the second Real Red sweater die cut to the back of the bear with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I stamped the wreath and bow images from the Santa’s Sleigh photopolymer stamp set in Mint Macaron and Real Red inks on their corresponding card stock colors.  I colored the inside of the images with a Blender Pen and a little more of each ink color and cut the images out with the matching Santa’s Sleigh Thinlits Dies.

I adhered the wreath and bow together with a Glue Dot and then to the bear die cut with cut up Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I folded the bears paws forward and adhered them to the wreath with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I adhered the bear to the DSP panel with Multipurpose Liquid Glue and then stamped the sentiment from the Cookie Cutter Christmas photopolymer stamp set in Early Espresso ink under it.

I wrapped a strand of Real Red 3/8″ Stitched Satin Ribbon around the panel and adhered it with SNAIL.  I tied a small bow from that ribbon and adhered it to the card front with a Glue Dot.  I adhered the decorated card front to a Crumb Cake card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Hang Your Stocking stamp set in Real Red ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  I adhered a strip of the Presents & Pinecones DSP to the panel and then adhered the panel inside the card with SNAIL.
