Stampin’ Up! Cozy Critters for the Happy Stampers Blog Hop

HappyStampersBlogPostBannerI used the Stampin’ Up! Cozy Critters Host Exclusive and Christmas Pines stamp sets to create a Christmas card for the Happy Stampers blog hop.  We’ve got a color challenge this week and here is the card that I created for it.

Here are the colors that we’re using this week:

The design for my card was inspired by The Challenge #80.

I started by adhering a panel from the Candy Cane Lane DSP panel to the top of a panel of Crumb Cake card stock with SNAIL.  I added a very thin strip of Real Red card stock along the edge of the DSP using Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere it.  I adhered the layered panel to a panel of Real Red card stock with SNAIL and then to an Early Espresso card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Christmas Pines photopolymer stamp set on a strip of Early Espresso card stock in VersaMark Ink, sprinkled it with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.  I punched the end of the Early Espresso strip and a strip of Whisper White card stock with the Banner Triple Punch and adhered them to the Crumb Cake panel with SNAIL.

I stamped the little fox image from the Cozy Critters Host Exclusive photopolymer stamp set three times in Early Espresso ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  I punched the tail, body and head from the three stamped images with the Fox Builder Punch.  I stamped the fox image again in Real Red and Crumb Cake inks on a panel of Whisper White card stock and then snipped out the scarf and little line on the tail with a scissors.

I adhered the scarf and ring on the tail with Multipurpose Liquid Glue to the Early Espresso Punches and then adhered the tail and body with SNAIL to a circle that I’d cut from Whisper White card stock with a Layering Circles Framelits Die.  I adhered the head with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the Whisper White Circle.  Then I adhered the die cut circle with SNAIL to a scalloped circle that I’d cut from Real Red card stock with another Layering Circles Framelits Die.  I adhered the layered circles to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and then added a Real Red enamel star from the Brights Enamel Shapes pack to finish it.

I stamped the sentiment from the Christmas Pines stamp set in Early Espresso ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock and then added a strip of DSP from the Candy Cane Lane DSP pack on the inside of the card.

  1. What a darling card – love the cozy color combo! That little fox is so cute – the little scarf is adorable. I really need to get started on my holiday cards … it’ll be here before I know it 🙂

  2. This is so cute and can’t wait to get my stamp set so I can make some of these.

I love your stampers blog hop. You are all so talented and again gives me so many to case. I am not good at thinking up cards so this is great for me.

Thank you again for all you give me.

    Hugs!!

    Gloria
