I used the Stampin’ Up! Wonder of Christmas stamp set to create a watercolor Christmas card to share today.

My card design was inspired by Mojo Monday 471.

And the colors for my card were inspired by Stamp Ink Paper #71.  Not exactly Christmas colors, but I think that they work with this image!  🙂

I started by adhering a Delicate White Doily to a panel from the Presents & Pinecones DSP with SNAIL.  I trimmed the excess doily off and then adhered the DSP to a panel of Mint Macaron card stock with SNAIL.  I adhered the layered panel to a Delightful Dijon card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the angel image from the Wonder of Christmas stamp set in Basic Gray Archival ink on a panel of Watercolor Paper.  I wet the entire background with just water and an Aqua Painter and then added a light wash of Delightful Dijon ink.  I used Mint Macaron ink and an Aqua Painter to add color to the dress and shoes and then added a touch of Cajun Craze ink with the Aqua Painter for the hair.  I used Pink Pirouette ink and an Aqua Painter to add color to the skin and then used the Mint Macaron Stampin’ Write Marker to color the crown.

I covered the angel wings with Gold Wink of Stella and then added Clear Wink of Stella to the banner.  I let the watercolored panel dry completely and then adhered it to a panel of Mint Macaron card stock with Fast Fuse Adhesive.  I adhered the layered watercolored panel to the card front with SNAIL and then punched the end of a strip of Presents & Pinecones DSP with the Banner Triple Punch and I adhered it over the edge of the card with SNAIL.

I cut stars from Gold Glimmer Paper with the smallest Stars Framelits Dies and the star from the Perfect Pines Framelits Dies.  I adhered the die cut stars to the card front with touches of Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I stamped the sentiment from the Wonder of Christmas stamp set in Mint Macaron ink on a Whisper White panel and then stamped the star image in Delightful Dijon ink (stamped off once) over it on the inside of the card.
